I managed to get hold of a pretty much complete (as far as we are aware) WoOOL client along with all of its assets, and I’ve uploaded everything here for everyone to explore.

I’ve already tested the files using @Tikky tools, and they appear to be fully intact with minimal to zero errors, which is fantastic. Tikky will be updating his tool in the next 20 minutes to read these. (Now Updated)

These files were actually available for download on the WoOOL website as recently as November 2025 (but appears to be from the 2024 client). I’ve gone ahead and unzipped and repacked them to make the download much easier and more convenient for anyone who wants to grab them. Special thanks @1PKRyan from last year who posted a link to the client, and wayback machine for letting me get these links again (turns out they don't remove things from their file server.)

If you’d like to take a quick look before committing to the full (and fairly large) download, feel free to check out the minimaps first (this is only a sample of 59). You’ll find them in the minimap folder at the link.

I was more surprised these were not just mirrored earlier for everyone to use before they got lost.

Download here

I have also submitted it to the resources on LOMCN.

UPDATE: Found 655 additional maps in the WPF files

Are Woool maps modular like the original Wemade maps or each map is like Shanda maps, an image cut up into tiles, making each map unique? Can't wait to spin the wheels :D

Hope this will get mirrored on mirfiles, the download fails on me after a while and restart doesn't continue but starts again from zero. Probably I am overloading my connection...

Old stuff modular. New stuff not so much.

You don't have to download the entire folder. You can just download the zip or the zip in parts (like the original). If you download the original .z0, .z1, etc you can extract with Winrar and means its broken up for you for it to be slightly easier. Especially as that will make it smaller downloads for you.

We found more maps in this set which we just didn't read so will keep you posted too on that.

So update, in the WPF files we found an additional 697 maps.

@Tikky said for his next update he will add the map editor to read WPF files too and look for maps.

Updating the title to say 855 maps. Much much more than we thought.

Didn't click on the zip folders to discover the parts, will do if it should fail again.
Edit: zip parts are in the 'Original Download' only, 'Data Rezipped' downloads (single part) 25.7GB zip archive.

I stopped torrents and remote access to another PC, also likely the problem might be high download speed. Noticed peaks of 27MB/s and I know that can overwhelm my PC's older onboard LAN port.

Download done but I was surprised I seem to have downloaded it twice. Once on the proton site and then when it was done, I thought I was done downloading but it offered to save as in regular download and then it was downloading in my browser as usual, never seen something like this. What was that initial proton site download for?

Finally I am able to open those WoOOL maps, good job (y)

Fantastic news... Enjoy!

No idea on the Proton side, never seen people have issues with it. They better work, I pay a small fortune for all the Proton Suites (as a family plan)

I found on my drive some years old bits and pieces of Woool incomplete client with maps that most are in your download here except for 46 maps. In that folder compare view, my old maps are on the left and the maps from your upload to proton on the right.
The maps that are in both folders the same still have different color markup because their dates differ, sometimes only by hours of creation, sometimes by several days even. Don't know what to make of it but map sizes agree and I believe the maps should be the same.

Map folders compared for differences

I upload here only the minimaps (converted to jpg format) for you to look at the map names and images to find out if you have or don't have them, in which case I can upload the actual .nmp maps.

I might as well upload the maps

46 maps with png minimaps included 453MB

@hectospark Thanks for sharing, May I know any difference than the standalone package source below? View attachment 39192
That is the same as this. Just we could no longer get a hold of it and it was not mirrored anywhere. The cabs are actually multi part zip files.

The newer ones (in the other thread https://www.lomcn.net/forum/threads...ta-953-maps-all-the-data.114597/#post-1220424) are the gold mine we wanted as those textures were streamed so missing from the client download.

Funnily enough I actually have the additional maps until last week but trying to find a nicer way to release them and have them packaged.
