Not a leach, idiot. For even starting with these basic set of files. Luckily 10 months has fared well.
NPC scripting issues? Let's start with the greed of not adding simple things like namecolour and titles. Laziness for not even just 1 of them.
There's never been any NPC errors come through an M2 or any exe until the Crystal Files turned up i,e the awakening it comes with.
But heres a few: Sabuk script i,e commissions, TrustMerchant, GTMerchant, Inability to use DAY TIME correctly because of MIN and HOUR.
Like, I'm not here to list. I'd be throwing buckets for days.
These things are CLEAN in the 2.3 files, it's a real shame nobody continued with those.
So because someone didn't add name colour or titles to NPC scripts which btw isn't a thing on official (so wouldn't be added to crystal) is considered a bug to you?
GTMerchant/TM all work correctly and so does the DAY TIME, you're just an idiot who can't read the basic NPC Segment on the wiki.
Again, I haven't seen a single bug that you've found. Just more moaning.

Coming from a guy who releases a set of incomplete files... and it's components...
I've been around longer and i've seen more servers and files flung around than you have mate. Back when finding the source was a lol joke irl.
I appreciate you're good at what you do but these Crystal files are 6 years out of date, they will be gone in the next year i'd say.
Why don't you put the Crystal files up for testing yourself and realise that you can't just do it how it was years ago.
Change the IP, you've got a fully completed Euro with not 1 issue, you can add as many mobs as you like with 0 crashes.
All it needed was a new interface and some minor upgrades but the choice was made to move, but I understand as they're "new".
Sometimes "new" isn't always "better". Luckily the new style graphics pay off for the players.
I've literally just been forced to close down a perfectly good high rate with lots of future updates/kits because
of mob lagg issues, too many mobs spawning in the database causing crashes that requires £750 worth of coding fixtures.
2.3 didn't have this issue :S

Crystal wasn't made to replicate a Euro match. are you that stupid?
The database i released was forked from @daneo1989's database which was made i think back in 2013. I brought it back up to match the latest code and added most of the missing stuff. I did infact release a server for people to test the database and it resulted in alot of bugs within the database being made.
I made it very clear to you and to everyone on multiple posts that the database I released wasn't to be used for a live server and was infact a template to be used when creating a database from scratch. It allows people to see how the data looks etc.

That was a long time ago now though, it does just need a month of a coders time to help pick it up to standard.
I'm not in a place or position myself right now to release as a server owner, and as it's not my code work to release and I wouldn't know how to anyway.
It would be nice to see these caught up to the newer standard, possibly getting rid of the need for the Mir3 look/feel Zircon files even though they are nicer to work with they are simply just Mir3.

You’ve still missed the entire point. You’re claiming it takes “months of coders to bring it up to a standard” but you’ve not even provided bug reports for the bugs you’ve claimed to have found and had someone fixed. No one asked for your code fixes. At the bare minimum we’d love to see bugs actually get reported.

Try using just some, I didn't say it was all purely code related, I've mentioned basic NPC's that weren't even complete that crash the server.
I don't have time to explain 10 months worth of bug fixing to you, I have give you the best suggestion and I'm sure other people with the Crystal Files will be back me when I say they need a lot more work. Look at my complaints in the Help Section - I've named enough over the 50 posts on LOMCN for somebody to be actively fixing or is the Help section becoming a troll station? Because that's the attitude I got when I asked for help barring the odd few.

so what your saying is because you couldnt just download the files and release a server thats an issue? the database jev released (npcs/mobs/mapsquests etc ) as he stated was given as a template not to be used to just load up a server and release it, Ive personally re writ every npc bar tm, re wrote every quest, mob, stats, item, map, crafting plus all extra features i may or may not add in future from scratch, does that mean i should complain i had to actually put personal effort into my server creation because i wsnt given a complete server to release?, ive had very minimal issues code wise, and as for scripts npcs etc any issues i get are because of my own work not someone elses, so what have you been doing for you said 10months? piggy backing cleaning up a templated DB you where literally told wasnt built for live release? makes no sense, name colours etc are all a personal preference so why shouldnt you have to put the work in to have them? honestly never heard such entitlement in my life lol
And just to add 10months is not a long time to work on a server lol
Yes, from 1.4, 1.9, 2.3 this has always been an option for server owners and a standard the files were brought up to before any release.
You say 10 month isn't a long time to work on a server, but it really is when it's morning till night from somebody whom doesn't work.
I don't even watch TV lol.

You clearly didn't read the post did you? Or the full debate I've just had with Jev regarding this?
What you need to realise is that there isn't just me out there who had this issue lol.
The bad part for me is I work on the files myself and I pay for code on the side, so it's like 2 people really.
This is legit the perfect example server of how much work actually needs to be done to bring these up to date.
When I remade a new server and created Oblivion, it was from scratch as Jev's database template stats didn't really balace
well with the current changes in the Crystal Files - but this didn't show until level 100 so you've got to be careful and do some homework.
It's not just a case of adding some HP, MP, Reducing SC/DC/MC and amending the AC/Agility to keep a fine balance.
It's a case of having the right database and the correct stats from the very start, which is where Oblivion will last long, and thrive with fun content.
Obviously owning a high rate, you buy all of the toys.
Well, my toys ain't been shot out of the pram, I've paid to have them copied over to be able to re-use some of the amazing things that
he has created and I didn't want to be losing. Some ideas yes do go against a Low-Rate, but that's what makes different.
People were moaning we had no content, so my first major patch update was a full new style townmap with moving objects and newstyle NPC's.
A set of new mines, with new mobs, and a full new mining idea/implementation that will follow through really well in the lead up to Yearly Events.
I'm just hoping with all of the negativity which was carried across from Tatsunuko's bad experience, admittadley.
That there will be no negative outcome on people wanting to play Oblivion, because it's a complete rebuild and nothing is the same.
Perhaps I stole the kit names but I ain't no genius lol.
These are the exact points I've been making mate. I'm not out to target anybody I'm really not.
They're a good set of files but as above, they still need bugs fixing.
I thank you for raising my voice on these matters and proving we're speaking along the same sense lines.
I just apologise if I can't interact with you when it comes to code.
This just proves the lack of cells residing in that brain. If something isn't working on a database that is essentially just an "example", then why in the f**k would you copy said thing to your own database? Common sense says fix the issue, then implement. It won't magically repair itself just because you've copied it to a fresh DB.
Also, I just have to comment on this point again because it's actually triggering, but you're trying to sell this as a Low Rate, but the features and stat's you are implementing are Mid (at a f**king push) to High Rate server. If you intend on levels being focused around 0-45 as a LR should be, for example, then those kind of stats will likely destroy PvE & PvP elements without serious code/customisations.
I get that you're getting a lot of stick, but honestly can you not actually see why? You've completely and utterly pulled the wool over your own eyes, and refuse to be strategic in consuming the advice or comments people are putting forward. Instead you're so absorbed into the hate that you're trying to fight everyone's comments away like you're being attacked by Scottish midge's.
Honestly, it's not often I don't get on with people, but you're consistently portraying yourself as a person that, in my opinion, is incredibly difficult to like. If you were to meet the feedback you're receiving in a very different way and just welcomed it, took it on board or implemented change then I'm sure many would have a very different approach to you. I mean in hindsight I think you've f**ked that now, but as they say, change is never easy, but always possible.
so originally you said crystal files was crap, now your saying they are good but buggy? your very contradicting ain't you? either that or completely braindead. id say the latter

This is the main issue imo, if he took the advice/help we’ve tried to provide and actually ran with it. More people would be willing to provide help or advice. Unfortunately every comment is met with an anger filled rant which half the time doesn’t make sense and isn’t even relevant to the advice given.
This is why I went from helping him with getting everything set up on day 1 to not wanting to help at all. The attitude alone is why.

I don't care about likability, feedback or comments from irrelevant people.
That's how my servers still actually get a usercount, because I bite back and defend my fort.
As stated above, im not here to attack or defend. But come at me then expect the obvious really?
I do things my own way, but thanks for any suggestion. I listen to player reviews only.
so originally you said crystal files was crap, now your saying they are good but buggy? your very contradicting ain't you? either that or completely braindead. id say the latter
They are a pile of crap to begin with. I would recommend to any developer to go with 2.3 and rip Crystal / Mir3.
10 Months later we've still got some hidden, none effecting bugs to us. But yes they do still exist, primarily in Monsters, NPC's and Spawns.
This is the main issue imo, if he took the advice/help we’ve tried to provide and actually ran with it. More people would be willing to provide help or advice. If my commenting feels forceful then you should stop commenting. It's because it's irrelevant, spamming or trolling.
I'm a diva, not devious.
So, you've quoted on another post a suggestion. That's your first recommendation or piece of support.
I'm not really interested as i know exactly how i want my server to be, but i'm not an idiot to block out important updates/advice when I'm paying.
Personally, I liked the look of the update from those new files, they just would not personally fit into my server.
These are the exact points I've been making mate. I'm not out to target anybody I'm really not.
