To host what exactly?

And as MentaL says, for mir you need fa. It's really all about connection over spec.

Could run mir on an abacus :p

Just make sure that you have plenty of RAM - processing power isn't a major issue.
Connection hugely important too, you may be better off spending that money on a data-centre hosted machine.

1gig ram, 1.5ghz pentium4 or amd processor will do fine for hosting. But you need a 512 upload at least on your connection for 70 people i would say.

nar wud need a min upload of 1 meg (min for 70 ppl) how u work this out, well i remeber reading somethin (i think leo posted about it)

that wen a char on mir is hunting it uses up somethin around 4-6 k/b so thats just for 1 person. now if a person stands still there only using 3. work it out urself an as they said about it get it to match the 6k/b to be more accurate.

Yeah just get a Window's 2003 Dedicated Server, With Remote Desktop Access so you can open the Mir applications/update it yourself.

Spec's i'll say:
512MB RAM
Processor 2Ghz+ Not really important but still.
Good Connection Speed's.
Good Uptime.

This site is pretty good: http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=30

Request for one and you'll get lot's of host'ers offering you some.

Price's range from £50-£200+ monthly depending on spec's
