Anyone know where I can get a full version of it? I'm currently working on some php socket scripts and could really do with it.

If you don't know where to get such things on the internet you shouldn't be allowed to have an account here at lomcn

I can get any program I like at any time lol. I just couldn't be arsed with torrent or rapidshare.
You really did make me giggle.

I doubt you've been typing for 17 years :tard:

Torrents? Rapidshare? There are other ways besides those two you know...

if you wanted the list of files, that's what you should've asked for

Perhaps that is what I should have asked for - what I did not ask for is a torrent of abuse and that is what I got.
So maybe I should have got a file list too as I didnt ask for that? Makes some sort of prelobal sense.
Yes, I know there are other ways - ftp, or p2p (I am an avid loather of p2p its the proliteriate way of pirating).

Btw you doubt wrong - it is exactly 17 years funnily enough. Since I was 3 and a half. I wrote my first VERY basic program at 4.

I'm sure you did :)

This is lomcn, where you don't get what you ask for...

Others - FTP and p2p, wrong again, dig a little deeper

Thanks Xander I've got it now :).

and Blam - See this is why I want your signature changed to I'm the most clueless.
I can't read minds (despite how hard I try) so I can't guess what random service to deliver files you are thinking of, hence why I said FTP and P2P as they are the basis in protocol for almost any file sharing you can find. That and HTTP.
So please - do tell me this wonderful file acquiring method that doesn't use any of the above standards.
Just an example - IRC - FTP protocol im afraid.

Usenet - pah I spit on the crappy protocol. Its just a hack of a common tcp protocol. It's based upon text strings that are sent bidirectionally over 7 bit ASCII TCP if I'm not mistaken.
Primarily deisnged for news articles and taken as filesharing.
Yes, I am aware of such things. But see, its just one of those million pesky little formats to send and recieve files. So unless I am a mind reader (which as stated before, I am not) there was no way for me to know what you mean blam. So it was not ignorance that prevented me from previously giving you a correct answerm, it was lack of specificity on your part. Ask a broad question - get a broad answer. See no evil, hear no evil.

Look at you and your big fancy jargon there trying to impress the members, it may be a hack of a common tcp protocol as you put it, but damnit it works

The question you should be asking konnichiwa is why blam assumes he knows all and thedeath - I wasn't talking about IRC as a whole I was talking about the file servers that people access files off in IRC rooms. They invariably use FTP.
And yes, people can copy from wikipedia but how many of them have actually dealt with the protocol in a programming environment.
You have done as I have done - you have taken it upon youself to attack someone because you think you know more than them. I agree it is wrong to do this and I am guilty of it. Peoples egos (including mine) prevent them from actually helping, they would rather point out the true extent of their brilliance and assume everyone is a n00b rather than judge people on their individual merits.

I don't mean to sound like I am on a soapbox but I am fed up of certain peopls attitudes on this forum, without intending to single anyone out I am forced to use blam as an example; if I had been someone with a real question coming to the forums for the first time and recieved one of blams typical answers - you think I would stick around? Of course not. It is people like this that which are starting to decline the userbase.

I think it is time that people have a good long look at themselves and their attitude in certain circumstances.

Anyone who replies to this message conveying in their demeanor/tone that they do not agree with such is obviously exemplifying the type of behaviour that I do not condone and nor should anyone else for that matter.

I always try to make a concerted effort to help those in need and anyone who does otherwise, such as post sarcastic remarks, may aswell not be on this forum as it server nothing other than to increase their post count.

That is all I have to say on such matters and I will not be replying to any flaming of this post as I believe it would personally go against what I have set out to right in myself and what others should right in themselves.
