You don't need additional moderation for an active user base of 25, and if you're using that as a marketing strategy it is beyond pathetic, you will get users signing up purely with the intention of receiving power, then once you declare there are no more positions your user count will half.

What's your angle?

Why are people going to visit your site?

Do you offer anything that Joe Bloggs couldn't set-up in a day?

Do you have a marketing strategy or are you just going to randomly post on a few forums until you realise you need more than that to effectively advertise and produce hits?

Have you read up on web rankings and how to boost your position in well known search engines, if so have you actioned this point and produced sitemaps?

Do you, the owners have sufficient experience in the music industry to provide your users with the support and discussion they will crave?

Do you realise how unprofessional a domain re-direct looks to a user?

Have you modified that template in any way other than moving it to your server?

These are just a few of the questions you need to be asking yourself.

I don't enjoy being pessimistic, I'm doing you a favour... better you save yourself hosting costs now. Alternatively, if you're set on it... then go about answering the questions I have put to you and actioning those you can't.

I am looking to sit myself within a community which looks to be promising or already receives good interest. Hence my frustration at projects like this which hold no obvious potential.

Did you pay for that vbulletin license?

You have way too many subforums for such a little user base, what's your niche? what makes you stand out that other music forums don't offer?

Your style, while looking quite ok, is still lacking in the header and uniqueness, if you want to promote your site, don't post it on lomcn and expect it to grow like a forest fire, you need to put work in it, you need to optimize it for search engines, submit it to link directories, exchange links with people.

My advice to you is re-do your forum, don't just have it there to grab money or try and compete with much larger forums, you'll get crushed like a bug. Get something unique and enjoyable that'll attract users to it and so on, last but not least, check out www.theadminzone.com for further advice

edit: wtf is going on with the domain? Having a re-direct? that's terrible for search engine optimization, at least do it properly, sort out your style too because i don't see any header and that's what most people base their judgment on the site on, one look and if they don't like it, they're gone

Dont be silly sawell, this is the internet.

Moi? Silly?

Paft!

I already have two FAKING HUGE projects going, but one's someone else's business and the other is leisure, but requires more coding than is within my wallet/capability - until the 50% commission on that business kicks in. A-woop.
