Hiya, I was just wondering if anyone would consider making me a poster/dvd cover or even help with ideas etc. I would like the poster to reflect certain aspects: have a degree of mystery in it, a motel door with the number ‘13’ on it the font used will be of an old typewriter form “courier”. The focus is on room “13” so create a Suspicious feeling towards the number. The door could either be left wide open or slightly ajar. I don’t know which sounds better but the poster could be solely the door of motel or a landscape view of the motel door and the windows. The colours white black grey and red. To reflect death and mystery or a paletted colour e.g. if anyone has seen the US doc show ER (Emergency Room) where the title sequence is an X-ray blue palette over the camera to give the blue effect.

PSD to be included thank you.

Thank you in advance.

Darker shade of red with less transparency and that'd be pretty hot tbqfh.

Also bold on le font.

Made the shade darker and also sharpened and increased font size 12pt, But have not touched the transparency as I think I prefer it like that but thank you anyways :D

at least up the contrast on the background image and desaturate it, gives a better "cold blood" look imo.

Erm right whatever you say lol ;) Btw how you do this, be warned I may need a step by step e.g tools>(somethingelse)> (something else).

Hehe the life of a blonde ^_^

to desaturate, click your layer, then click images > adjustments > Desaturate

To roughen the image up, go to images > adjustments > levels and slide the wee sliders back and forward till you get it as rough as you want it.

Cut a gap in the text, and have images going the fully way across, also make the font a tiny bit smaller, and change it from blue to white, just a matter of aligning it right.

Hehe thank you I've was told white before also so I'll be testing that out tomorrow for sure. And also you or no-one else has made a comment of the female, the head does not go with the body (lol) the reason for this is because I needed that head in the poster and I couldn't find one of both the male and female toegther as they are on completely different crime dramas. I'm suprised you failed to mention it due to it being a little erm crap lolol.

"house use" should be "home use" in your copyright section. House can apply to all manner of area's such as a church can be classified as a "house of god" etc.

Weee CSI pictures on the back.

Make the Crime scene banner on the front yellow.

Change the colour of the text on the back, it hurts my brain.

The crime scene tape is yellow, it has a slight taint on it due to the whole frame of action being captured in red.

Note: will be changing the backs font size and colour later today.

to remove the taint, click the tape layer, then shift right click on the text on it ( if its not all one image ) and they will link together.

Then do layer > arrange > bring to front

Might look a bit sharper.

Both front and back are now complete. I've decided to keep the tape behind the red taint as then it looks as if its in the frame.

Your kidding me in thinking this is good work? I mean you have no sense of good font and quite frankly font on front and back look plain POOR, and unprofessional . The red just ruins the image behind it and it would look a lot better with it, Slapping red over it does not in any way give it a "blood effect". And the back? must have taken you like 3minutes to do.. To plan and produce and AGAIN the font sucks.

Well seen as this is only 10% of all coursework, I ain't fussed either way, the way the cover is marked all goes by what the content is, not the as you say 'professional'. And as For the font style most crime genres use “courier”. And as for this "blood effect" you say,I have never once mentioned I want it to look like that. The colour red signifies many aspects of life blood being one of them but I used red as a representation of danger. If I wanted it to look like a blood effect I'd have used blood dripping from the title.

Like I've already stated it's mainly the content of the work, maybe it ain't the best of work and I'll be the first to admit it, but it's the best I've came up with atm.I'd rather spend more time on the report which goes with it and is worth 90%, wouldn't you? I asked for help and no-one replied until I attempted it myself and that is my result....

Ahwell we all can't be perfect.
