Yes thats why the 2002 version was car of the year. Every astra model have been pretty decent cars.
it was dark, pissing down with rain and was reversing outa my street and was looking over ma left shoulder next thing i know "boom" i was scraping along the side of a car i had drifted acorrs to the right side of the road as i was lookin behind me and cudnt tell very well, and wehen i realised it was to late :the bloke was ok, he was understanding saying accidents happen n that, he was pleased i had the decency to go and tell him id scraped along his car.
And you said you passed first time oO? Im guessing that your driving test didnt involve reversing a car in and out of a parking spot then

Yes, i mean if i can pass anyone can pass, i've had about 28 lessons @ £20 a go. The pass rate first time where i am at is 40%, so yeah i did pritty well, all me mates did it second time and was boasting about it being so hard to pass first time.... End of day if you know what your doingISH ;p and have a really nice sence of humour ( i did in my case) :P had a proper laugh with him and it was finished in no time! was nervous to fck, it happens, but if you dont pass first time, not end of world far from it jsut keep going for it ^^, my bike test has been cancelled twice due to bad weather, proper gutted, i've waited three whole weeks now, and test is wednesday. Thing is its meant to be snowing where i am, gosh i hope not GOD must be saying something !!!!!
Nice one 28 lessons, dont think ill be having that many though, i hope to have around 6-10 proper lessons with a driving instructor, and about 4-5 with my dads mate. Although, i was told that you have to have a minimum of 13-15 hours with a driving instructor oO??
Theory looks a pain to revise for though, so much to learn

I've had I think 16 lessons so far, taking a few more and I should be ready says my instructor, he says im good.
I'm sorry, but even though i havn't taken my my test yet, i am pretty certain the instructor will not sit there and say, ''hmm, driving is okISH, but your sense of humour, top notch, you've passed.''

mental if ur after a corsa i could suggest my friends metalic blue saxo vts all colour coded done up inside with bucket seats etc 67k miles wanting 2.5 k for it

15-18 hours is 18 lessons aint it? 1 hour each lesson = £20 where i am...
But yea if your good and confident go for it, but if your unsure dont ^^
My mates had 20-25 lessons, yet they failed first time caused they rushed it... meaning another £100 and more weeks to wait.
Where as you could have had an extra five lessons and be sure to take itp

At £80ish a test it isnt exactly cheap, i had about 25-30 lessons but that was because at the start i couldnt pick it up very well, passed first time ^^
You dont need a certain amount of lessons. If you go with an insuructor, he may say Dont put in for you test untill i say, but if you was to do the test in your own car, or even if you know an instructor who will let you do the test in his car, you can do it anytime you want.
My friend passed his test, with just 2 lessons. He's been shown how to drive when he was about 15 though, as his dad used to take him to aplace where your allowed to drive around.
