ok i try and update my avg 7.5(free) and when i click update the update window come and goes in an instant , im not sure whats wrong with it , i tried allowing AVG to pass through the fire wall but still no luck.
in the security centre it says that i dont have a antivirus program and im not sure how to tell the computer that i do

can any 1 shed a light to these problems ?

i used to use avg had several probs with it, also it let some virus's into the pc when it shouldnt i now use avast, once you register they email you the serial number its valid for 18 months and tbh i think its spot on, ive been using avast for just over 1 year with NO virus's getting in

its free download from here: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

the only way round is uninstall avg, and then re-install it again but tbh i would use avast its much better then avg

It doesn't let any in, or it doesnt detect them?

I used avast for a year, now im back onto avg 7.5

it didnt detect them, and it was fully updated, pc was running bad, i installed avast and omg it picked up 3 virus's that avg completely missed one was a key logger, so after that id never go back to avg
