cld be few things blocked rad or trapped air in ur hoses thats caused head gasket to go probably the reason its heating up all u can do is keep the car filled with water and when it starts to heat up turned the heater on max inside the car :X

my car's gots it MOT in August, and i have a feeling my head gasket may be leaking...
i can't get it checked till payday either, i can't afford to have it serviced :(

engine gets quite hot quite quickly, and white gunk around my radiator cap...hope it holds out till payday...
Hmmm, sounds dodgie.

Not cheap the head gasket either... well the head gasket its self is quite cheap, but the fitting isnt!

head gasket is a piece of piss to change, its if u run it and warp or score your head while running it with a blown 1 it becomes a night mare, i suggest u stop driving it until its fixed, or start looking 4 a new head/cheap machinist to skim it for u....

you most likly blew it by thraping the hell outa ur car lol

if ur mods rnt listed on ur policy, ur insurance will be void m8 =\

Well ive spoken to the insurance company about this and they have said that my car is insured but not the mods, so according to them it aint void.

so basicly if u crash it, ur mods dont get replaced? wud of thaught if uve had engine work done it wud bump it up due to being a faster car.

@peekay, its a mk4 m8

@kud, Flush it out with water/replace the hoses, buy a new rad, ull still need ur head gasket done thou.

wow thats a sweet ride, get it chipped n max speed probably be lot higher than 150 mph. what exhaust you got?

Milltek. Bluefin is a chip, google it mate.

Though i may be swopping the Bluefin for a DreamScience or Custom map. Most probably could get more than 150mph, but I wouldn't risk doing that sort of speed on the road. Hopefully I'll sort out some track sessions soon.

It would be a distant mod, think I've spent enough on it at the moment :P

I need invest in a cheap run-around car so I can keep the mileage of the RS down tbh.

Yeah I have fun on the back roads where I live, good old L.S.D.
