Recently got into spray painting so i thought i'd post some of my work up here.

Only done 2 pieces so far using montana gold.

Anyone else paint here?

Looks impressive, given you can't just use photoshop to improve the tones & highlights :P

Im only painting on a makeshift wall in myh back yard at the moment, the police are pretty hot on grafitti at the moment and i figuered theres no point getting nicked for ammature painting, im gunna paint in my garden till i get half decent then go out on the streets.

Although i have high competition in my area, its a hotspot for painters.

Heres a piece from a local guy who calls himself "Ice cream terror"

ICT sure has got highlighting down to a fine art, hasn't he?

Yeah im really quite impressed with his work.

Although i swear he must get through about £30s worth of paint on each piece, i use about £10 a piece when i paint. But the ammounts of different colours he uses and hes paying 3.50 a can, its gotta add up to something big.

Ye i know people call that graffiti, but it really ain't because if anything thats talent, its really good, and i must say so are your pieces too.

Graffiti imo is just people spraying stuff like "-insert name- is a sl*g," stuff like that never anything like this...

i been painting since i was about 15, stopped last year. still blackbook once in a while tho. ur tryin too hard to make ur letters different, keep it simple as possible , just keep it to FOAX no pointy bits or arrows yet. its the only way to improve believe me, i sucked balls when i was 15 because i tried to go too complicated.

i recommend u practise in a blackbook first until you improve. the actual painting is alright i guess seeing as its ur first time, no drips and stuff so its a matter of gettin ur lettering right. remember simplicity is genius.

ICT skills of graffiti painting is amazing, ask him to paint Colonel somewhere? lol.

as for your painting xanan compared to ICT its obvious you need to keep the letters much of a muchness in size and keep practising.

Yeah i have about 50 pages full of different lettering and designs. Fortionatly im working in a call center at the moment, which allows me to sit and draw for hours on end, so im always drawing my pieces before i paint them.

But i can see what you maen about simplicity, some simple fonts can work really well.

Yeah its pretty good in all honesty, they pretty much let me do whatever aslong as i keep to 55 calls an hour. S'good pay aswell.

Might invest in a PSP.



But yeah, might paint again today, might freestyle with no letters or designs and just see where i end up.

atm i see your using a 4 letter word so why not express yourself and do a quarter of a painting a day expressing your feelings of that day for every quarter just an idea.

Fair enough. Post some more up, ill give you feedback. And don't bother doing a quarter of a piece a day. In fact if I was you I wouldn't bother painting at all yet until you sort your letters out, because you'll just waste paint.

Graffiti is all about lettering, take a couple weeks to get your letters to a decent stage and then start painting. Not being out of order, i've been there.
