nope as i said its all too far away. id be fine commuting into town for a proper office job but nothing else

well i started looking for a job 1 week a go , got 1 nar start tomoz. 7.20 an hrnot bad for 18 but u seem to live in middle of nowhere haha

tbh Connexions gets u know were most off time i was looking for a job for like 4 months and they did nowt for me best off doing every thing ur self just spam ur cv to every shop u see

I agree with purekill all they do now is spam my phon ei told them what i was doing but they keep calling and they done nothing to help me find a job.

Register with a few temping agencies for office work, you'll get a variety of differnet placements if it's a good one and a variety of different experiences which will good on a CV. Personally even though I had qualifications I went into a government clerical training scheme, the wage was low but I got lots of experience and some work placements which led to a job with a large national company, worked through the ranks and 10 years ago when I left that company I was earning in excess of 15k. Contrary to opinion you don't have to wear a suit to impress at an interview, most office workiers don't these days.
Don't waste your time and money writing to companies on the offchance they will call you if a job comes up - unless of course you have some very high end qualifications!! They will expect you to apply for jobs advertised, regardless of what they might say. I spent 5 years in HR (Human Resources) so I can tell you 50% of the time when people say they'll keep your details on file, they don't (can you imagine how many applications they get for each job and the amount of filing space needed for all that!).
Get a CV together, keep it to 2 pages, keep it concise - grab their attention in the first half page, usually with qualifications. A recruitment agency will usually help you complete these out so they look good, or at least read them through.
Always put a hand written covering letter with a CV specifically answering the advert. Again keep it short and concise.....always make reference to your cv in the letter, kind of encouraging them to read further. The letter is your first impression and the first half page of the CV is the hook you want to catch them on to make them interested enough to interview you.

thanks for the advice but ive been with manpower before and they were crap and im now with reed who dont even call me anymore.
and i have a CV and always include a covering letter lol. i know how to apply for jobs i just dont like doing it and generally get rejected anyway its all so discouraging
lol a year in tesco? id be going mad. i only need a car then i can look for a real job tbh.
