if you are using a router then you need to configure them. If you are using TD's all in one files there is a folder in m2server folder thats called onlineinis read that and should be straight forward from there. Also with router make sure you have configured the port forwarding .. ports 7000 - 7300 need to be open for the game to allows external users connect.

If you are not using a router, then all i can suggest is either you or they have the IP wrong, if you are unsure goto www.whatsmyip.org that will tell you you're global ip address.

i wouldnt open all those ports from 7000 - 7300 when you only need to open 7000 7100 and 7200.

Thought of that but my PC is direct thru my modem :P

I'm using the files from the SVN... but i have played around with TD's.. they are no better.. they error on my Database..

I have opened ports 7000, 7100 & 7200 on my PC.

I run a fair few things on my PC :P I use a TS, HTTP and FTP server.. They all require me to know my IP.. I'm like 150% sure that my IP is correct.

Thansk for the suggestions tho =/ would posting my INI files make finding the problem easier? :P

these IP's need to be changed to run a live server.(NOT ON A ROUTER THO!!)
mirserver/dbserver/!serverinfo (2nd IP)
mirserver/gamegate/config (GateAddr)
mirserver/loginsrv/!addrtable (2nd and 3rd one)
mirserver/m2server/servertable
mirserver/m2server/!runaddr

then if you are connecting on same pc as server is running, you need to change the IP in YOUR client's ini. (3rd one only, gateaddr)

I tired just changing the ones it says and i get even less from that.. will all addresses changed its the same as with just the ones that are ment to be changed.. i now have 2 sets of server files.. they both suck just as much as each other..
