Well i just started college, and as my graphics design homework we were told to design a buisnesscard like thingy.

Anywho heres my first attempt

I know it possibly looks crowded, but i want it to be busy. Also i think fonts opacity needs lowering? would any1 agree with that suggestion?

well the ones i was shown at college only had names... one was just a jack from a deck of cards , i think its ment to be a buisness style card with our names just for teacher to learn our names.

Well, it depends if you want a business card or not.

For a business card you need something plain and clear, simple but informative.

Well my teacher said buissnesscard type thing... but the examples we were given, didnt have that sort of stuff on, Alot were names, a couple had numbers that was it.

Has a nice look to it, well the darker background / overlay. The pics dont suit the backgound / overlay, especialy luigi. The text is nice, if the piece is a 'name card' then the text is perfect as it stands out. Could do with a border, 3 px black, 2 px white, 1 px black imo.

Ye luigui got onto it because my mate sent me image, i asked him to pick one, didnt think he'd pick that one lol. I was thinkin of doing like 3-4 copies, one with images, one without... this one, and i could remove luigui.

Also 3px or 2px on the text? i can try it, its got 1px black at the moment.

Text is fine imo. I would add a border to the whole piece, black - white - black, 1 px each.

got brusges off a mate, he sent me like 30 lol. Also so what colours would you suggest? Also if you think they need more than 1 colour, are youy able to find renders to suit them also for me :P and tie in with the theme :P

God do people not think of out but video games? Come on i know if your in the gaming industry it would be good, but try something different than video games!

Maybe a decks in background or a guitar and work from there.
