The thing i hate about technology is when you buy something you really like, in a year or two it becomes out dated and are forced to buy a new one again.
Iv been quite fortunate with technology, in that because i take care of it, ive never had anything break on me (apart from the few hard drives going corrupt, touch wood)
Anyway, back to my post.
My computer case has a motherboard stuck to it, it supports up to quad core, and a single slot for graphics card.
The components i can update are the processor, graphics card, and hard drive.
Excluding all those components, how long do you think it will be until i have to buy a whole new case because my motherboard becomes outdated? (for example a new 12 core processor comes out, or all graphics card turn SLI)
Obviously you can't give an exact estimate, but I'm just wondering how long it would probably be.
