boot in safe mode,on the screen then it will display the username administrator, click that.

People could have necessary files etc on there - it's not just a x-amount a laptop, but probably days of work. But i'm not going to preach.

Don't be a tool, it's people like you that mean people like me that work in FTSE 100 corporations get the brunt of the DPA when some idiot leaves his laptop on a train, and as a result some other idiot decides it'd be a great idea to see what they can find on that laptop and it turns out to be our HR DB.

What do you really expect to find that will benefit you in any way? His/her bank details written in notepad? Going to cain his sorry bum and get his stored passwords? It's really not worth it.

And listen to Kaori, all our laptops are rigged with watchmen software that run alongside sec point to actively track what ISP is using what asset number at any given time. If you're found with coporate property not only do you face jail time for theft but they'll probably find a way to sue your ass to the ground too

Oh and all machines can be traced by system board if its reported as lost or stolen, this is where most tracking is performed from. So unless you know how to re-write the SN, then be a good boy and hand it in.
