Right, i have an Asus A7useries laptop, that is operating as Vista Home Premium.

Hada problem and it started doiing a recovery. Now my password wont work.

i have never changed the password, as the laptop is only about 6 months old, so i had the same password from when i changed it.

Any idea how I can bypass the Password on vista?

Yes recover the machine fully so that you go through all the pre registration again and password should then be removed and machine set back to default settings. Ether that or use ERD Commander and reset the passowrd, though not sure if this works in Visat yet.

Before you do all that on the recovery options once you load it, You can fix start up issues try that first then try your password again. If not as said above you will need to format/recover the system.

Used a boot CD to change passwords, and it found no users... which is probably why its not letting me login.

Tried pressing F9, didnt work, only have F2 for Menu and ESC for Popup.

Doing a recovery now.

Vista doesnt create an Admin account i just read, like Xp does.

So Safe mode still asked me for my account password.

Password said incorrect, couldnt get past it. Microsofts website basically said... your ****ed.

Reformatted now anyway... thinking of just sticking XP on it, as Vista is terrible.

Vista is a better operating system than what XP is and XP has/had just as many flaws as what Vista has experienced - Remember that XP was released unfinished, at least Vista was finished.

Reason for Vista being a better OS than XP, take a look at the comparison for Vista Ultimate and Vista business and then compare it to XP Pro. You will notice a huge difference in the way they both work and Vista comes out on top.
