Can loopback be done on a Switch its a LinkSys EZX855W? i've been looking around some posts on internet say it can and cant be.

switch is just a switch, it doesn't need to do loopback.
netip --- Switch --- netip
the only reason you need loopback is because you are on a private address using NAT behind a router. When you are trying to connect to your netip, router can perform a loopback or router can go stupid.
privateip --- Router --- netip

okay probably the easiest thing to run a server is a Switch lol
changed ip in holleydb and serverinfo.txt and it's up and running and i can get on with my other 2 pc's :P
