i offerd my help.i didnt offer it expecting to get this load of bollocks in return.
but like ice said to me in a private pm.
you will never be banned as you are tight with the admin.
Hence why im still waiting for my server to be approved yet 4 heroes was approved only a month or so after it was launched.


4 heroes meets non of the criteria to be approved yet there it is.

jus reading through this thread, and id have thought someone nice wld have jumped in and jus solved this global problem your having.

like bon said (but decided not to help) there are many ways you can load it once. i believe theres even a function in 00default for it

but since its 11pm, and im really tired. a quick solution would be to add a line to a particular namelist, it would check the name list wen ever someone logs on, but only add it for the first person who logs on. after that the global wont activate again.

and to save deleting the line from the namelist everytime u boot up the server, create a name list using a variable which adds the date in the title wen it loads or something, so it creates a new file every day, and loads the global once a day.

i did skim over the last few posts coz i got bored, so if someone already solved it another way. meh.

yer but it just annoys me ice how ppl ask/expect me to help when i get slagged off all the time, not referin to u as uve always been pretty ok with me, just certain ppl.

i wanna take a back seat and let the mighty pob solve this problem and explain to us all how global variables work as he said, he uses them all the time and gets no errors.

Thats how lomcn works, People help people selflesly and other people treat 'you' how 'you' treats others.

You would not have what you have or know what you know today if it wasn't for others doing what you refuse to do.

When you ask for help from others on the community you 'expect' a solution from 'anyone' even if the person helping is a person you don't particularly like, you wouldn't think 'I don't like that guy. I'll wait till someone else I like answers my question'

You are a member of these forums, regular member status does not come with a high horse and preference for certain members..

That also goes for other members, not just Bon.

not sure, ive never used these files, just working from memory i know there used to be a function in 00default in previous files.

my namelist idea shld work though.

edit: looking at mir3 (shld b pretty similar) cant you just use

do something

in 00default.txt?

00default.txt shld only load on server startup, it'll b checked for each login, but only do something if its under [@login]
