Solution isan't a wipe and it should of been done before he let players on. As i said laura, my theory would be old databases is conflicting with new ones e.g. character wise. You notice he tried flags and didn't work, flags are as i think 100% working feature. However if he used the same flag on the previous server and the player had that name before it will still be set to used.

I cant use my old account details to log onto this server, neither was my old char here?

I don't care what the guy does tbh. Whenever there's a wipe its always the 1st sign of more wipes to come simply because people are too lazy to try and fix whatever is giving them an error. Surely common sense would say to wipe your DB's before putting a new server online? I cant login on my old account details so surely he wiped the account DB meaning he wiped the character DB? I don't understand why he wouldnt wipe his DB's lol.

Yes sam, he has wiped the account database but to do a full server wipe requires more. E.g. character items, spells and information which is not in the account database but game3g as i remember.

pointless doing a wipe.. beta stages doesnt matter whos highest etc need someone decent level to hunt in higher caves to filter out bugs n that! no wipe it wud just be pointless!

yes but this hasnt happened here? my char on old server was called OffensiVe, i havent had my old skill lvls items etc from then.

i do think the trying to have 2 servers from 1 dedi is abit silly tho

Some databases also go off servername e.g. skills and items, however the information of a character and useage is different. God i sound like a right geek! haha

gm's already said that its gonna be wiped before it goes live, so what does it matter lol

im not fussed what happens so long as last gate problem is solved, you may think i've had time to play but all in all i have only played for 3-4hours gametime, if the gates hadnt of been breaking every 5mins i would have played for a lot lot longer

Yep thats pretty much same with me, think I started about 10 pm last night and got to 33 with all the dc's and stuff then 2 lvls with you earlier, if the dc's didnt happen I would of probably done all night.

The issue maybe coming from running the 2 servers off one dedi, in my opinion just run one.

I think that maybe you should do a poll on forum for x 32 x 16 then whatever gets highest vote just stick with it will save time and effort..
