Altho, this thread about Evolution greatly made me laugh.. about how tallos used to always bang on about jamie not gettin a penny of the donations, yet seems hes just used them to milk cash for him lol... funny as ****, have a read!

Well I have been trying for a couple of months now to "save" Evo but unfortunately I don’t have the time or patience anymore to spend on it. As some people know doing Evo was never about donations as I don’t need the cash it was about the fun of running a good server which is what we achieved.
However since High Rate went down Jamie has been to busy on the new "files" to really give any communication or help sort anything that he is supposed to be dealing with on Evo's behalf. The server was paid for and Jamie had more than enough to pay for the server up until March yet the server was taken off due to it not being paid. Now thanks to lone I could get the server back from the server company but after discussing it with Prov we both decided that after the hassle we have had so far with Evo and the headaches involved behind the scenes trying to sort anything that we will no longer try.
This doesn’t mean that we wont work on another server again in the future but for now we wont be working on Evo as its just to much hassle behind the scenes.
I have tried to keep this as nice as possible without going into any info you guys don’t need to know about but hopefully Jamie may read this and actually contact me on MSN about the other issue.
It was great working with all your guys and I probably wont see you on other Mir servers as after running a server I find it very hard to play Mir now.

As per usual, you get some of the basics right and fabricate your own story line, good to see nothing changes. 
Jamie was screwed over by the previous runner of the Extreme server, he claimed zero donations came in and therefore Jamie paid for the server out of his own pocket, said runner then did a runner with all the donations.
After that happened, Evo was launched and Cerb and I told Jamie we were happy for him to receive the donations, pay for the server (as I believe he got something back as he puts it through his 'business', or whatever, in either case, made no difference to us) and to send us the money over server costs, which he did... Until we swapped to a PayPal account that I created, he kept claiming that funds went out of his PayPal for all the servers (Lone and Shirley have both posted in public that they gave him more than enough for both LR and Extreme, so where's this money going?) and therefore he wasn't able to send us our money, fobbed us off with one line after another for almost a month, at which point he just flat out ignored us.
Was quite amusing how much he could change over such an insignificant amount of money, Evo was never ran to make mega bucks and it didn't make much at all (for the first 2 months, I worked around 100 hours/week, so in a full time job, I'd of made 6+ times more money than I did running Evo, on minimum wage, lol), which we were fine with while things were progressing, we were told 2.6 files were 'almost done' on a weekly basis, which is why after level 250, things went from a bit weak to bloody annoying (long duration poisons/FW's/magic shield etc).
Unfortunately I'm one of those people who won't judge based on what others say, it's why I gave you so many chances to prove the 'rumours' about you were bull, hell I even pm'd you in attempts to get you past me being part of MirRev and you just wouldn't have it, even now you're attempting to take swipes at nothing but your own imagination.
Jamie screwed us over, over the money most people make in a week or two of full time work, maybe he wanted one less server for competition, maybe he saw how many players loved our support, maybe he's just a **** who did it for the hell of it... Only he really knows and I'm honestly way past caring what his reason is, gave him more than enough chances to explain and nothing was said, however I won't be joining the "Omg Jamie is such a ****, let's hate him and say **** about him that he'll never read" band wagon, I don't hate the guy, if anything, I pity him.
Oh and my absence from here wasn't due to any of that, I had r/l things come up which obviously took priority, though after this and the things I saw about 4H being removed due to selling kitted and levelled characters, but it's all back now, I can't help but think even less of the people running LOMCN. Hope you enjoyed one of my last wall-of-text posts here.

Ive always respected your work and opinions on LOMCN.
You where always a man of reason and outstandung calm under the pressure of ben and others.
It is always a shame when you get screwed over and tbh i didnt expect it from jamie.
My self and jamie seem to have fallen out along time ago now but id never slagg him off either.
I can only imagine his irl situation must have forced him into doing what ever he is doing.
Just seems such a shame to let all your work go down the pan.

Its kinda your fault though tallos, you let him in control when u first started the server, eg u used his forum instead of making your own forum
im sure your ad been spammed b4 about lapta, and you didnt listen, i dont really wanna sound harsh but all of us knew what lapta like ages ago, we warned you and you took it like we're trying to win your members by spamming your ad.

Edit: One more thing ive noticed ages ago, someone edited mr forums whoseonline.php
so it shows +ve guests always lol, like now 6 members and 59 guests quite sad

Back on topic, yes people are working on servers that havent posted, one of which is a little far off worth posting about atm but one is on the cards, as soon as certain financial situations pick up then the server should come together quite quickly. :thumbup2:
iv done some 2.6+ hero files (hero + assassins) but cba makin server out of them, wudnt say theyre perfect files eitha but they goood
Yer iam doing a server, custom everything client / server and every hunting place seen and unseen even the very old sunkenship has been added plus 100s more defo the biggest client around

Dont get me wrong, Id love to see a server like that online, i just dont think it will happen
as u say, u wont accept donations, but u cant afford a dedi = no server
i dont get why u and some others are so against donations really, they are wot fuel a server and keep it runnin for such a long time, w/o them servers never last
if what u say is true with the new files, huntin places etc, im sure it would be great, but the drawback of new files would be they need extensive testing
easy solution to the dedi
have donations, but make it so donations dont give u an advantage ingame (im sure sum people would donate a couple of ££ just to keep a server up to play n not just for their benefit)
have a donation page showing how many months paid for, the cost of the dedi, and the total of the current donations (resets to 0 once reaches enough to pay for a month and adds 1 month onto the paid for counter)
you may have to sort out like the first 1 or 2 months pay for the dedi yourself, just so people can try the server n make sure they like it before they decide to donate to keep it up
it may work, it might not... but i reckon alot of people would prefer to do this and not have donations ruin the server
look at it like this, if ur server is as unique and good as you say, your looking at a decent usercount (like 4hero's) in the 100's
say half of them donate £2 a month to keep the server up, thats £100 per month for a dedi, u might even find a decent dedi for like £60 or w.e i duno prices bt then thats like 1 and 2/3 months paid for just by a few users donating £2
and £2 is nothing really, to any1 lol
