Do we have any mir2 open sources available, which arnt coded in delphi?

pref completely english, not complete is fine, but atleast working would be nice.

if it uses mysql already that would be great.

Dj hasn't said if he will be releasing open source yet, His is VB.NET I am coding in C#.Net and I plan to release the source when I am ready.

Im guessing lemon isnt from scratch then? and is again delphi.

phili source it gots till 2.1 official code + gadget code whitch made it 2.3 :P
its the smoothest
but its in Delphi

aye, not a fan of delphi, and ones which were built up from official are way to messing to be able to edit easily.

im afraid im not that good of a coder to be able to start from scratch, id have no idea how to read the wils and maps.

I've had a quick look at that thread since you posted,

The links for the Data (Which is needed) is down there are no other mirrors.
The Source seems to be in a good standing and has a nice base to work from...(judging from the screenshots)... Unsure about the performance of it...
And from my second point leads me to wonder what DjDarkBoyZ has actually done to the Sources, since they appear no different from three Years ago.

there is a c++ source 'somewhere' but it's easyer to start from scratch then to try and get that one working properly (it's sort of in between mir2 and mir3, only reads mir3 type 1 wil's, cant read any map format etc)

mir unleashed is files is a little bit what i was looking for

as jamie says, has anyone still got the data files for these? would like to try it out.

also, ive never programmed in vb.net. how different is it from other languages? ive dabbled in c#, delphi, and a little bit of java.

@td, i was after thos sources ages ago, but all links are down, auron said he was gonna upload them for me a while back but never got round to it. also as i mentioned before, id have no idea how to go about getting the maps to read.

when it comes to languages i hardly know, im a glorified copy and paster :P

heh farphit: i'd give you my copy of the c++ but you'd go crazy looking at it

i did bother to get it to work with the previous mir2 interface (using mir3 type 1 wils)
but only login and selchar where done
never started work on game stuff

atm im downloading the old dm2 files. I tried lemon yesterday but the files seemed so bugged i dont think id get along with them.

im sure ill get used to using delphi again. just doesnt seem like a popular language, so ive never really wanted to use it.
