Blizzards Upcoming MMMO "Titan"

Well, it's a big Christmas gift for Blizzard fans! Do you still remember the rumor and the leaked schedule about Blizzard's new game plan? Yes! Blizzard just confirmed it's not a rumor, They are working on a new mmo---Titan!


At last weekend's Spike VGA event, gaming blog Destructoid asked World of Warcraft executive producer Frank Pearce about the rumor and then we got that confirmation of Titan's existence.

"Titan is... the media is not meant to know anything about that. It's our next gen MMO and we've only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we're working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting – getting some of the best talent in the industry on that."



As now we know nothing about Titan, but I'm really exicted about the new title! They spend 10 years to build 3 classic series: Wacraft, Starcraft and Diablo! Now Titan will be the 4th and I trust they can!

Meanwhile, another question came to me. When Titan finally get released, how will Blizzard handle WoW? From the product slate we know that there will be more expansions besides Cataclysm. So how could Blizzard make WoW competitive when they wanna promote Titan?

I guess they may make WoW F2P? (Ofc this is based on that Titan will be a MMORPG! XD)

So what you think? Always wanted Blizzard to create a new mmorpg, even though nothing been released about this title you really only need to go off Blizzards reputation to be intrested.

wow wont become f2p, people are willing to pay for it and its blizzards major source of income, in fact lately they seem to be trying to milk as much cash out of it as possible.

and about titan, rumours are it will be an mmofps, which would explain the earlier collaboration with Activision (the leading fps developer), either way i doubt it will be another mmorpg, due to the fact of wow x5 expansion release at the same time, thus both games would be in direct competition with each other which wouldn't be a good business move if both games was of the same genre.

Agree with WoW and F2P, WoW will still have a massive user count even when this Titan is released, they may just lower the sub price?

I'd try out this new game, although 2014 is the expected time it will be out? Long, long way away!!

WoW will never ever be F2P......its because of a small reason, atm blizzard sayd they have 12milion subscribers, that means 156 milion every month (13 euro per month to play).Now i ask you this...now b4 you post something stupid about wow will be f2p in the future because a crap magazine sayd so, think about this why would blizzard loose 156mil every month ?

Blizz get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much from WoW at the moment to let it go F2P. Besides the Warcraft franchise is still booming, it's a great story which in theory could go on forever.

yes ofc, and each time they make an expansion another 3-4 milion copys sell in the first 24-48hrs!! (ppl payed 35 euro for cata...) so blizz made another 140m in 48 hrs max...they got a gold mine....they will NEVER let that much money go tbh, u just have to be stupid to make a popular game like wow go for free, yes if it was for free they would have from 12mil players to 30-40mil+ players im sure, but then alot of retards will play it lol, and trust me there are enough retards in wow ATM

WoW will have 2 more expansions, then what? People will get bored and will kit so they will have to make it free and gain users.

blizzard have said in their 20 year anniversary video, that they hope to move the wow userbase over to this next mmo they are working on, which could put the rumours of it being an mmofps to rest (not alot of rp gamer's like fps), and its likely to be similar in game play to wow in order to attract their current user base, which makes me wonder if it is something related to warcraft. ie an updated engine, they have done it before with warcraft 3 to WoW, why not again?
