getting files online- windows 7

using MSSQL 2005, with service pack 3, and enterprise manager.

managed to restore db no problems..

im not getting an error the m2 just crashes and says unspecified error

heres a screeny any ideas? im on windows 7 64bit.

check ips are right on DB server, login server and m2.

or u useing 127.0.0.1?

I know that if u download the 32bit SQLEXPRESS with a 64bit enterprise manager might not work correctly!.

SQLEXPRESS 64bit download : http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=83387

backup your DB if needed uninstall all sql.
install the 64bit sqlexpress and then install 64bit enterprise manager see if that works bud.

EDIT -- I have SQL2005 on Pc with W7 ultimate but i dont use SP3 I havent the need for it!

dont no why its doing this, its same SQl ive had all along and i ran a server for a month with it lol ¬¬.

lol ever since ive reformatted my machine **** all works that used to work -.-.

didnt work... for some reason it keeps installing SQL in programfilesx86, but isnt that for 32bit programs? not 64...?

you running a legit copy of windows 7?

I know that when you use a copy of windows 7 you need a windows loader and WAT remover tool.
A mate i know used these and it knocked his server .exe's so he cudnt use them. (running on admin didnt work either)

either that or .. are you sure ur running a 64 bit OS? <not taking the p**s>

i looked at your screenie again:

Double check that the .ini files in Dbrsc.ini (DBServer folder) and Setup.ini (in m2server folder) are set correctly.

Dbrsc.ini should be:

[SQL]
SQLType=mssql
SQLHost=MASON-PC\SQLEXPRESS >My PC name to connect to SQL<
SQLPort=3306
SQLDatabase=lom2
SQLUsername=sa
SQLPassword= >Password you entered when installing<

Setup.ini:

[SQL]
UseSQL=TRUE
SQLHost=MASON-PC\SQLEXPRESS >my PC name to connect to SQL<
SQLUsername=sa
SQLPassword= >Your password<
SQLDatabase=lom2
SQLType=mssql
SQLPort=3306
SQLCharDatabase=lom2

yeh deffo running a 64bit, and legit, it worked before ¬_¬. **** knows whats wrong lol

give up anyway, not working for some reason, worked 2 weeks ago ¬¬. obviously reformatting has deleted something i needed to make it work lol




Edit- wud running in admin actually make a difference? never had to do that before.
