Maybe the server owner wishes to stay anonymous until the server is launched? Also it saves being ridiculed by the likes of you.

I do yes, especially when you look at other servers that have taken money through donations, for a server that isn't live and probs will never go live. But yes it's one of my biggest gripes with any server, especially when the cost for running a server isn't that much and your supposed to be doing it as a hobby and not to make money from.

I feel that Donations are acceptable aslong as theres a fixed reward, so whatever you donate is up to you for a minimal rewards (Basically to ensure the server runs without downtime / lack of payments). Another addition to having donations is to ALWAYS make sure that NON paying players have the same chance of obtaining items spent with GameGold (making quest systems to reward the same as donations).

That way , the person donating is purely being lazy , instead of earning the gamegold without any costs.

Personally if i was to make a server , and use a dedi...i wouldn't be able to afford it, without donations...Again , i'd make the donation reward the same as any INGAME free awards...making it pointless to spend money for goldgame (unless the person ACTUALLY wants to pay for the server to stay up).

I do on the other hand hate servers that offer SPECIAL items for donaters ... leaving the non paying customers Under powered and left out...thats wrong, unfair and just greedy.

I think there should be a rule to define on what donations are for! (AKA , do not prioritize paying customers and actually define Donations to what they are .... Donations... lol)

There's no rule saying the owner themselves have to make the post.

But you will take full responsibility for the forum updates and to communicate with the community on the servers progress.

It was a rule, now it's not a rule and that is the rule.
