Need Free FTP ?

Hi all

well ... yesterday i was told by my Web Site Providers that i cannot have my Auto Patcher and Client getting soo much traffic and they will have to be Removed That being said they suspended my website from all functions until done ....

I was told i would receive Unlimited Band Width and Disc Space with my PAID Plan .. i was mistaken..

Now i tried to use : http://www.mirfiles.co.uk/upload/

But Failed to log into my account or Even make an account due to *whatever* ...
( i used 3 different browsers and still nothing)

so i had no choice but to look for an alternative site that would hold client and auto patcher without getting the same problems for a Small price as im still paying for my site in first place..

I then typed in random crap on google and came accross : www.HostUltra.com

So far i have Client up and url seems fine, i am now trying the Auto Patcher and will let people Know the Detail's when finished.

Reason for this post is to help anybody else that was or are in the Same position as me.

You should really read the terms before signing up anywhere bud.

File Size. Files larger than 1 Mb cannot be uploaded to the hostultra.com servers, such files will be deleted automatically without notice to User.

In addition to the above, User shall not upload onto their hostultra web space any of the following:
audio or video files of any type this includes but is not limited to .wma .wmv .wav .mp3 .avi .mpg .asf .mov (however flash and midi files are allowed);
spanned archives such as such as .z01 .rar .ace;

Basically, unlimited space yes, but only for hosting html webpages or images.

Unlimited is never unlimited on cloud storage. This is why Google only offer 15GB of hosting space for free, and Amazon S3 charge you $0.12 per 1GB of storage space.

If its free, theres likely a catch.

If you find a good cheap hosting service which lets you uploaded LOTS let me know. i've been looking for one for a while.

mirfiles.co.uk/upload is broken (has been for ages, dont have the time to fix, volunteers welcome) but you can upload clients manually via ftp np (lots of people have done this)...if you're interested then i'll pm you the details.
