already spoken to Sam about this but i thought i should post a full report as well

PoisonField

level 43 Tao skill gives a nice cloud effect that seems to have a very poor area poss 3x3 but the max targets iv managed to hit at once so far is 6 (in a very full conn path)

effects/damage wise it seems exactly the same as the lvl 14 poison skill

Only uses green poison (no red) 1 charge per mob hit

cool-down on the skill is 10-12 seconds !!!!

for what is supposed to be a lvl 43 skill ..that sucks big time :P

using the normal lvl 14 skill i can poison more mobs in less time making this completely worthless. It needs a larger area of effect and the same cool-down as the lvl 14 skill, or if the cooldown has to stay a MUCH larger area

Im presuming its not lvld, it has always had a cool down which decreases by 2 seconds each lvl. the cloud should be 3x3 ( which makes 9). the cloud should stay for about 5 seconds and any mobs walking through it will take a small amount of damage and be poisoned for a small amount of time. both of which will increase if its lvld along with the poison damage. Assuming it is based on proper pf. it has never worked with red and would be far to strong if it did. its also based on sc, im assuming ur kit isnt amazing either.

sc is 10-37 base 10-43 buffed

skill is leveled to 1
mobs are only poisoned on the initial pulse
cloud stays for about 2 seconds
and does zero initial damage
damage over time at lvl 1 is not enough to fully drain a raking cat -.-

and i havent noticed any change in the cd from 0-1 either

will be a while before it gets to 2 or 3 ...so any changes when its lvled will need checking


thanks for you input demonical as its not a skill iv used before, and it doesnt seem to be working as you have said it should be

It's a long standing problem, I think the "SC" does not affect the damage, so there's no difference between a liv14 and a liv80 taoist poison (except for the duration, so read "liv20"). If the damage depended on the SC would be perfect. The taoist would finally have a good reason to increase his SC and not just to "look cool". keep in mind that the poison is the main tool of the Tao!

If the damage depended on the SC would be perfect. The taoist would finally have a good reason to increase his SC and not just to "look cool". keep in mind that the poison is the main tool of the Tao!
