Update on KillChain abuse and Cheaters

I cannot get onto my main account and with a link to this thread in another post suggesting the reason for this is cheating. Now I assume I am not the only one who would like some clarification about this whole situation rather than just "however, they could be arrested under suspicion and that's all that has happened here." How do we prove otherwise? I think im not the only one who plays mir with many many different applications / processes running in their windows (im vaguely guessing that something was detected) and im certainly not the only one who plays mir and isnt a computer whizz like some. I always hunt in game with people and am usually dying a fair bit aswell. And Legend of mir is and always has been my number one choice for game (exception maybe bf3) due to the communities that develop. I may be blabbing on abit but am seriously hurt to the core and am eager to proove myself as not a cheat however neccessary. Any help?

i only started playing this a couple days ago, and i use gamebooster as i have every other server iv played, its not an unfair advantage as anyone can use it, im guessing this is the reason im banned? but where is the rules stating it cannot be used? - OldBag - 17 war

Oh right. Well would this suggest I have my accounts closed for having mining chars and multi clienting? or would it suggest that my accounts have been closed because I have cheated in some way? I am aware that this sort of thing is not really for public discussion in individual cases but I am confused and offended either way, being an honest person and loyal player of mir for many many years.

Interesting. Can't wait to get home and find my fate lol. Never use programs but I have had some stacks. Though thinking its normal. Trying to have it for awhile is all I need. And it's good to hear that it has been capped to 1h makes me happy

Sounds like this server needs some good Anti-Cheat Security in place. I guess the problem with private server is the lack of knowledge of how to implement such features. But good new is that there is currently a project underway for game security and i believe Mir2 might be on the list. The other thing is this project is still only in design phase which means it might be some time before anything is released. But watch this space

I wouldn't say a lack of knowledge is the right term to use - These guys have been at this for many years and know an awful lot between them. I'd put it down to more of an oversight in the buff system coding - but again this is the point of this "test" server - it's taking all the hits whilst the vulnerabilities/bugs are worked out and then when the source is released the next wave of servers will be even better.

I do like the sound of the "security project" you mentioned. Is this something you are working on? Are there links with information regarding it?

Could code be aded to check the running processes every 2-5 mins(randomly) and if any of the known cheat programs/accellerators are running then the IP is automatically added to the blacklist and then the client kicked from the server with an entry added to the log stating which program was running?

Getting people attention about the project is the first step as there's not much point doing it if people are not interested due to the complexity of it.

Apology accepted :P. I realize how what I wrote could look like to other members. Maybe I should proof read my posts in future. But anyway I spoke to my partner in crime about this project and it looks like we will going ahead with it. The timescale of the project is unknown at the moment but dont expect anything too soon as it's a complex job that needs to be done right.
