good question m8, Did euro/usa change server up to any forum monkey pleasure? i know at least 8 AceM2 players that dont have forum account yet and cant register to vote due the forum RegistrationDenied......

+ on euro u didnt drop off body when pkd, here you do and u do alot
+ on usa you had SwampEel's and Jade to choose and you didnt drop off body when pkd?

On euro you did drop on PK for years. They did change it and so pker made sure mobs got the last hit. USA doesnt count. When there were active Gms on euro they did respond to forum. At the end they tried to listen to players(for example the dupe items sweeps I loved those. Dupers selling to their own guild and hey presto the items vanished funny as fk). AT least here you have a team of coders and developers who care about the game and try to get it right and make adjustments all the time. This is probably one of the best servers about so if people rage quit over pixels most of em will be back in a week or two

Then you were killed by a mob, The ability to be killed by a mob was removed from Euro quite a long time ago.

As mentioned after it was removed people started recall pking into mobs (Which was then fixed my issuing a group invite prompt)

you really think someone spend alot of time on this game will give a fk after losing important items due to server lags / their own lags and ****??

Here's an idea, go find a carebear server, k? or simply don't play. Jesus.

ppl always try let mobs do last hit so ppl body drop, ppl always recall pk to mobs to body drop? euro did not body drop on pk dunno what server u played but i play Dragon for many years and i know what im talking about
PK was BAG drop only and no stone break
Mob/ArcherGuard death have chance to body and bag drop and always break stones

Well, unfortunately u can't 100% stop ppl from ddosing...just rewind, find who did it, ban his/her account, IP, maybe IP range if it's serious..or, get a coder to create a soft that generates a key (used to identify the PC) when u install / update the game in order to ban the attacker's PC.
Ofc u can avoid them by using proxies or reinstall OS and so on...but at least he/she will lose the account & time & eventually stop being so sad.

It's often going to go beyond a single IP range though in terms of a DDOS.

What would be a better idea is to find a way to mask the server ip and remove it from the ini files.

Lot of effort for nothing there.

as long as you can open up a connection to the destination machine (loading the game for example) you can netstat and find out the IP anyway, if someone has the knowledge to use denial of service attacks, they certainly know how to do this.

decent dos protection costs money, simple as that and unless someone is willing to stump up several hundred pounds a month for proper protection you'll have to persevere with it.

I don't know the extent of this but Sam if you're not familiar with some of the quick fixes to help protect against this or attempt to stop it full stop, drop me a PM.

This. Absolutely this. I'm not saying that's how it should be here, but that is how it was on Euro Mir. I might not remember everything about it after all these years, but I know with 100% certainty that this was the case.

We are going by the leaked euro mir code Out test last updated at 2.2 stage. It shows bodys did work.

I remember learning new tactics because there was no drop from pk. Got a timetunnel war to drop DSS in bdd using the new plan. She had another a week later. Didn't you people play the game? Have you played so many they all mixed up in your memory? Maybe it was a deviation from official but the way things are now doesn't make sense. Its almost like pay to win.
