Need a GM or Server creators help please

So i need a GM or someone in the server team to help me out with something.

My dad and brothers live in a separate house to me so i don't have this issue i'm posting on behalf of them. The problem is you guys only allow 3 connections from the same ISP or IP (not sure) i know this as my dad has asked and got it confirmed.

Hes been told to connect to the game through a proxy... (i don't know how to do this nor does he) and i'm quite sure his ISP doesn't allow him to do this anyway. However i'm willing to give it a try if someone can point me in the right direction.

Or maybe someone on the team can somehow allow 4 connections from his IP? as 4 of them in the household want to play but only 3 can at any given time.

With regards using a Proxy, just have a quick search online for "proxy servers" you'll get plenty of hits.

Shocked a GM would advise to do this especially when theres already a restriction in place to stop multiple connections from the same IP, why not just de-restrict this?

Anyway, using a Proxy is pretty easy. I actually pay for a Proxy for a number of reasons including a stable fast service, its about £5 a month.

If you wanna go down that route, these are the guys i'd recommend.

Thats convenient haha they would have to bring their personal PC everyday to my house not a good idea...

I will look into the proxies thanks. I know what a proxy is i just dont quite understand how i can get him to connect to the game through it. But i'll figure it out i suppose lol.

Not clear that it was GM advice but why be surprised at anything they do?

If they are going to play everyday why not? Are they all using pc not laptops? 4 pc household sounds unusual.

Basically you change your DNS settings to what are provided by the company you get your proxy service from. This will then give them a different IP address.

Yes they all have PC's how is that unusual? were a big gaming family .

I dont quite understand the restriction to be honest i find it rather pointless... but i can't get any help in game either because if there is a GM online theyre AFK 90% of the time and have whispers blocked... whats the point in a GameMaster if theyre not accepting whispers lol.
