Unfortunately people expect to tank the fk' out of everything and get everything in return... EM took months of open planning before it was killed on Euro. Now.. its walk in hack slash done. Servers need more harder AI's
mir community summed up in a post.

mir needs new AI's / difficult boss encounters to progress, mob ai is one of the biggest flaws in mir.

but would people appreciate it or just moan its not the same as euro.. is another question.

I completely agree. But to what extent. New ai's are not hard to code. Its dealing with the hassle of complaints because people cant kill things. Which in turn creates a negative feeling on the server for the average person who plays for the social aspect rather then to be the servers top dog.

Is there going to be some sort of targeting system when the server goes live? Just wondering because with a Taoist especially, if you're surrounded by mobs and you're trying to heal your pet or a fellow party member, mobs always get in the way of where your cursor is which wastes a heal, it's always a bit tricky trying to land a heal with mobs surrounding you. Also party frames would help with this as well.

I know there's Mass Healing but that's not until level 31 ( I think) and its always nice to use a variety of spells rather than the same one and that's more for group hunts rather than just partying up with one other person.

Sorry if it's been mentioned before but haven't seen anything on it.

Just wondering because with a Taoist especially, if you're surrounded by mobs and you're trying to heal your pet or a fellow party member, mobs always get in the way of where your cursor is which wastes a heal, it's always a bit tricky trying to land a heal with mobs surrounding you. Also party frames would help with this as well.

lol this isn't exactly a big deal , mir was never designed for low levels to be jumping into 10+ mobs at low levels....

mob AI update would be very good thing it will give the game a slightly new feel and require some thought when hunting and boss hunting. it will make a more level playing field rather than the large gulf you get between experienced players and newer players. However that is probably the reason that the people who are 'top dogs' dont want it to be implemented or will play the 'its not euro' card. they cant hack not being the ones getting every boss and being top of the server.

i see alot ppl against easy mode servers me being one of them, but isnt anything thats exactly the same as euro going to be easy? i think in some cases its not that the servers have been made easy its just that its been played so many times that people just know exactly what to do where to find things and how to kill things.

change is not a bad thing, its still mir at the end of the day.

personally i cant wait to play a server where i dont have a fkin clue where to hunt or how to kill things.

I wasn't referring just to low levels though, high levels as well, so if you're with one other person and you're both level 40+ with loads of mobs around you it would make it a bit easier to focus healing on them.

Its nothing major though I know but I was just curious, it would be a nice addition to have I think because it can be annoying trying to heal and only for it to land on the mob(s) numerous times lol.

They have group bars coded, they could make it so you can click a players bar to target them, like WoW.

randomise boss spawn times and randomise how many, if 2 EC spawn when your expecting one (for example) it would make things interesting! etc.

I personally wouldn't like this idea, due to pk reasons. I only find mir fun when it involves a fight with another guild for a boss if not all bosses (mtk, bl, zt) that spawn when they spawn the same/near enough times. It's also fun when you're rushing to get to lets say zt, before another guild gets it.

But I suppose mir isn't just about pk!

You know ace had random boss times? (maybe not for ec/ks because they seemed to be there bang on time).

Looking at DD, it's 100% possible (and piss easy) to tank it one warrior and a tao :P

wasnt really random though was it? they varied by 30mins about.


I think bosses like oks should have a global shout like ''The ground is moving , great evil is upon us''

this would make for some good fights , which is why alot of players like mir.

edit: DD was easy with a tao and a warr , tao just spammed massheal and warr needed like 10 suns. Took about 5mins.

Problem is the people i see complaining are the people who barely still cant get their heard round that wt/iwts rt with more than 4 around them lol.

Up until last week i saw a grp all pile round a iwt and all was saying WTF!?!?!? when it rted lol and then when 4 warriors was around it you had wizzys bolting from otherside of screen luring it over then dying lol.

Pretty bad that there's still players like this :S but yeh im all for new ai's myself

Its true that most mir players now have no understanding that you can beat every ai ingame. Yet the complaints ive seen over the recent years because its not spoon fed is crazy

What is crazy is that judging by the games pathfinding you'd think it's made in the 1950s.

Players caught cheating and or exploiting should have their toons crucified around BW and left to rot for a few weeks if they are to be banned anyway.. This would show players you wont tolerate it and also let current players see you are active in this area, Too often people seem to get away with **** or we dont hear about it, also saves you having to post names on forums etc, as its such a visible ingame deterrent.
