Think it's because they're not sure, since most are busy IRL a lot so it could easy get set back, then can you imagine the cry's when they don't open on the ETA?

We're treating it like we don't want to give an ETA if it isn't certain. That's not avoiding the question, that's the answer.

People asking 10 times a day will not force us into an earlier eta or a rushed release, as soon as we have a definitive date, we will give it.

We know and have seen how people among the mir community can react to ETA's, if your one day over you will receive more angry messages than supportive, and as we are still integrating major features/additions/as well as testing. We can never know how smooth or exactly how long something is going to take to complete, so rather than put ourselves in that situation we would rather wait until we have a date we are all happy with and feel we have a good chance of achieving, then take a chance in letting the community down.

i Hope this clears up your questions as to why we have not set an ETA yet.

You have your answer, There is no eta cause theserver is being upgraded into a better server thus they have 2 much work to do to give an Eta which can be concluded into you will probaby have to wait 1,5/2 months atleast till the server goes online.
now take a pill and fill your spare time with something else.
And on the care package the answer is simple they are going to put in alot of changes thus they will wait till they have a good sign of how it'll be at low levels and what to give new people.
You can probaly expect that people who were 40+ will be getting an instant ticket to border town out of starter town and can go to bichon ( a small time advantage) and maybe some lvl 10 gear or something? this is just a guess but it seems likely that you won't get anything special anyways.
and honestly you comments don't say much cause if you have had a lomcn account for 9 years and only posted 90 times it probably means you don't really care bout community.

or it means i do 10 posts a year, post count dont mean anything you bell end or the time ive spent on the forum! is your post count so high cause you spend all day waiting for a post to quote so you can suck sombody off in it? or is it so high cause your one of those nobs that cry on the forum when you get pked? i would ask for your character name on the server but i realy cant be arsed mass pking another mace!

and ive probaly done more then you for the community of this server and made more suggestions then you that got changed and helped fix the server in V1

Yer there is a plus side to an eta, gives the team something to push for.
I mean you can fanny about forever if you aint careful, and never get it out there!. Plus theres other stuff out soon like next gen consoles etc, you could lose players to that. Theres not a huge playerbase for mir anymore as im sure your aware.
most players here have played before and are well used to game updates and patches on the fly.
pretty much everything has DLC etc these days, were used to it.

Plus the title of this thread is a big dangley carrot to drive us all mad! "coming soon"
i say it to the wife but i dont mean in 3 weeks!!

Well the moment people act like kids i kinda get the feeling i should correct them and honestly i was on acem2 from beta till end
i was like level 51(FML i was a tao) and honestly i talked alot to sam about changes and buggs in beta so yeah idk bout you.

Please give constructive feedback to sam and maybe hell listen to you likewise for any other dev for the server team cause hating on them isn't going to change anything.

All looks good sofar, i'm looking forward to playing the updated version of this server.

I have a suggestion for giving the people wanting an ETA a better answer without giving them an answer you might not be able to keep.

Instead of giving a estimated release date, post a list of the work needed to finish the server, colour coded to how far along it is.

I.E.

Work finished
Work started and nearly finished
Work started but a long way off completion
Not even looked at this yet.

This would give everyone the chance to see how far along everything is, without giving a date you could be beaten over the head with later, and if something unexpected turns up, that could be added to the list in red.

If you think this would be an unneccesary addition to your workload, then fair enough. But the suggestion is there.

If they give you an eta and then dont make it like the last one they made are you going to have another period?

Just drop the care package. Tell everyone now they are not getting anything for it.

I can't believe people actually care about this package when they know it's not going to affect the game what so ever. And if you are going to stick with it make it so only people level 40 or above BEFORE you announced get the "package".

Server looks great. Was looking forward to archer class no mention here though.

I do agree sockets are one of the things I would have removed from a fresh server.

This i dont get this at all, seen a few people say "its ruined" mir etc, how? i always thought it was a good edition, its not like only a limited few people had this, we all had it.

I always thought that a cool thing would be if the spells were graphically enhanced per lvl of the skill, so lvl 1 fireball would look a bit pitiful, lvl 2 would be the current gfx for it and lvl 3 would look much improved, probly be alot of work, but i think it would be an awesome addition.

and i always thought that wizards using sticks for weapons was a bad joke, introducing somthing like a mild glow on the hands as the weapon skin would be sweet as, again probly a dumb amount of work but these are just some ideas im throwin out there.
Another thing id like to see is the new spells you advertised in the ace2 video, ill be playing the server reguardless of whether you listen/do anything about my suggestions

I like the sound of that, it would be a nice addition as it would make you feel like you're progressing through the game and making your character stronger as you do so

Tbh no he doesn't scare in the slightest and when you hear him speak it actually makes me feel macho as **** lol.

There is no need In The slightest for all the requests for an ETA. And complaining so much about such silly things is what destroyed acem2 and caused most of the team to quit it.

I'm not butt licking I am just paying attention. If we all acted like you this server would end the way the last server did.

SOCKETS:
They where a great addition at first but after a while they ended up making people weigh too OP. IMO sockets or gems/orbs, not both.
