well that could be fair as for the gameshop is labeled as fair too and honestly some people put more the 600 hours of irl time into this server and expected the server to stay online longer that's why samuel offered people a small gift to people when it comes back i don't want to hear people cry about care packages make unfair game Q.Q
i have played lots of servers and even when they were p2w i have been on higher ranks then most donators just cause i grinded hard and make good friends to hunt with even if it takes to be friend with a hardcore donator and grind with him making it somewhat more manage able

Test server? i wouldnt have spent 3+ months getting level 54 if it had been labled as a test server, it wasnt a test server at all and if you had been around more then afew days you would know sam only closed ACE to remake the server as his own not keep working on the server sombody else left behind for him to keep running.


the care package isnt for new people, its mostly for those that played the last server and loved it and put time into it, its his way of giving back to us that put our time into the server and him not just saying "the servers closing F you"

and i feel it should give us vets an early advantage, starting the new server and giving us that have waited around a nice welcome back would be a better way to start things then pissing people off and going back on somthing that was planned, breaking promises isnt the best way to start is it?

only afew of us did make it over 50 so its hardly suprising if the safezone posers that only got upto level 40 arnt as arsed

Server was used to get a basic set of euro files going, it may not have been officially "labelled" a test server. But when I was playing that's all it came across to me as, because really...who would play seriously on a euro copy? This isn't 1.4 days, players wants something different lol. I can tell you that a lot of other players prob felt the same way.

Only reason I could think that they stayed as long as they did, is because no other server was open...if something with the same files and different content opened, it would empty quicker then you think.

1. Regarding the started pack, it should be only cosmetic or like Rob said an amount of GG given free from the start.
2. Before the start of the server, server info be made public on this forum or better on server official page. Meaning skill info/maps info and things that would be interesting for people to know before they join the server.
3. Refrain from making public "personal opinions" before the server even seen the light of day, about things they don't like etc. Some people might find that info a letdown sometimes although is just a personal opinion. Would look more professional.

Sorry, i forgot that Dev's aren't allowed a personal opinion. Better put them back in the slave cave and make sure they keep their mouths closed next time.

ACEM2 was a official TEST! Server... it was testing to see how stable the official files were

Mir Chronicles is a new server... there should NOT be any care package type item for returning. Like you have pointed out you played ACEM2 for the fun of it. So you can keep dreaming ACEM2 will return or you can just make a new character and move on.. Mir Chronicles is a new chapter in the ACEM2 Server files.

but anyways they made the server official and at that time they also decided to add new content like ice cave and Orc lands.

Yes this is true i even asked milo i think it was before i started playing seriously, if its still a test server and he said no its a proper server, the word just needed spreading about.

Also what StoneTomb bug? ES always has dropped DSS's ?

i never saw anything about it being a test server wen i played to 44 and 43. not that its relevant anyway, this thread is about what we were told we were getting, a CP, not if we should get it :P

I'd just like to point out the care package was initially added/intended for v2, which was planned to release 2 weeks after ace went down and would of served more as a transition package for the 2 weeks down time.

Since then the server files have been flipped on their head, and we no longer considered this a V2 of ace due to the extent of changes / upgrades, hence why it was given its own name "Chronicles"

With that said adding a package to a brand new server is counter productive, as now we have new players to think about where as with V2 we was only concerned with bringing back our current user base. We only have the best interests of our users and feel it would be unfair to bring a care package into this new server, we hope you can see ours/newer players perspectives on this.

End of the day what Jez said about someone putting in an extra hour of grinding will fly past someone who starts with a 2 hour exp scroll or whatever. IMO whether CPs are ingame at the beginning is completely irrelevant, I've levelled past people on some servers with cash shops without paying a penny, don't see why a starter package is going to "completely unbalance the server" as half of you seem to think. Every server has devs and GMs who promise the world and don't do it, it's the way of the world unfortunately, advertise big and deliver small. Don't expect **** all and you won't be surprised.

I think you should do the care package, and inside place nothing but a new brain. This should hopefully improve both the forums and the future server.
