As the title says, I'm having troubles with the Patcher to access the Closed Beta so I haven't been able to test it yet :(
Im not at home at the moment so I can't sort it out tonight but if anyone from the Dev team can PM me or something to find out a solution so I can try and sort it out in the morning, it would be much apprieciated :)

I did send a message on Facebook but I haven't really had a response so I thought I'd try here as well, thanks in advance! :D

BTW if anyone is still having an issue with resolution using the larger UI I did find a simple workaround to fix it:

Open "Mir.ini" and change to: "ScreenMode=2" then bypass the patcher or it will reset back to the default.

Hey Omen,

There have been a couple of issues reported with the patcher that I am going to look into today.

Can you provide me with some system specs ie Windows version? 32/64bit, Memory.

A number of potential guesses that I can think of from the Win32 error message is:
- There is a memory leak and you are running out of memory (although I believe this is the cause of another issue).
- You are using a 32-bit version of OS and I may have built this as a 64-bit (potentially I can't remember for sure w/o checking).
- Incorrect or missing .net framework.

How to fix?

Install .net framework 2005,2008,2010,2012,2013
run the game in compatibility mode
clean up your services.msc by putting down a lot of non-windows services

Hey, my computers pretty old so dont judge! lol

Windows Version: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600)
Memory: 2048MB RAM
...and I'm running 32bit so I guess that's my problem :(

Thanks for the reply :)

which I don't think is the case anyways here's a website with some steps for older OSs

http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000726.htm

And if it's truly only 64-bit Then Sam just has to recompile it for 32-bit

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated, will have to get back to this again later to try and sort it out as I've got to head off to work, final day today for a week! :D
Hopefully Sam can come up with a solution if it is due to only being 64bit compatible.

I have checked and I compiled it in 32-bit ( I thought I had, but didn't want to rule it out ), requires .Net Framework 4.5 ( not sure how to find out what version you currently have ).

I should have coded patcher in java tbh, Microsoft languages are asking for trouble :P.

Hate to punch holes, but Framework 4.5 isn't compatible with XP...Windows 7 and above only

Well...above Vista SP2, but no one has Vista haha

Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs

Scroll down to Microsoft .NET Framework.

Should have 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 for most up to date XP.

4.0 and 4.5 won't exist, if your lucky to get it to install it still won't work anyway lol

You MIGHT get lucky to find a fix or a work around. But considering XP is being dropped in April I doubt they'd develop any compatibility fixes for it

I'd suggest him to redownload the file it probably corrupted on the old windows due to it being you know (old)
And make shure you have every .net framework on your pc

Won't help if it requires Framework 4.5. Windows XP won't install it, end if story lol

Time to enter the world of Windows 7 ;) I'd advice against 8 and 8.1 ;)
