Hi team,

For when the server launches and we all choose our classes would you be able to tell us if anything is being done to balance the DC items vs MC and SC items. With 3 classes vying for acc items, acc gems, DC items, DC gems, Aspeed items, storm gems and wind marbles, dc, speed and acc orbs(if they are in) it will be terribly expensive comparatively for these classes.

Thanks!

Basically, Assassin, Warrs and Archers will be using a mix of ACC/ASpeed/DC items.

Whereas SC/MC is used only by tao's, therefore much more demand for DC items than SC/MC - Driving price up.

This, any GM have an answer for this question?

Aspd will not effect the likes of spells that are similar to FS. 8sec CD. But it would effect all non CD skills/spells. So of course it would be a benefit.

Lol I always thought this driving up of the prices was always full of crap.

If you find a boundless ring your not going to make it anymore expensive than usual just because there's 3 classes that can use it.

Overpriced is overpriced, it's the ones stupid enough to still buy it that drive up the prices, not because there more classes.

If you don't buy it at the "driven up price" then it will come down eventually... Especially at how much the TM will cost them ;)

It is actually really simple supply and demand.
1 thunder ring 1 class, 1 tae-guk ring 1 class, 1 boundless ring 3 classes...
another way to look at it
20 thunder rings drop and there are 20 wiz, 20 tae-guk drop and there are 20 taos, 20 boundless ring drop and there are 20 war 20 sin and 20 archer or 60 people, see the problem?
Prices will come down eventually? That would not happen until the ring is useless, other wise sure it would come down but the equivalent ring for wiz or tao would be 1/3 the price....at every point of time, so relatively speaking it would never come down in price compared to tao or wiz ring.

Theres no REAL way to counter this, just because there are more classes, doesnt mean you're guaranteed there will be more demand.

What if, say, 50% of our server population was wizzies? As a lot of people generally choose them cos of the fast levelling.
Then we would have upped dc item drops where there is no demand for them, where in that case there would be more demand for MC.

Point being, 3x classes does not = 3x demand

Agreed not necessarily 3x demand but something to keep an eye out for either way. Basically no matter how you look at it there ARE 3X more classes using the same item.

whilst you do make a good point nemo, ziiid is right.

warrs always are a popular class for starters. archer is looking immense (dare i say OP ;)), and sins again are looking good. of course people will still play tao and wizz, and there's no way to balance drops exactly according to the number of people playing each class, but i don't think it's fair to not at least consider tweaking drops - not necessarily increasing dc/speed/acc items to 3x their usual rate, but surely it makes sense to at least tweak them slightly.

Thankfully 1 of the 3 DC classes is ranged so only 2 of them are driving prices up with their dura-killing melee nature. Archers can buy all the dura 2-3 bargains off Sins and Warrs :p
