I'm liking that both EE and JD have been implemented in Chronicles and I have my fingers crossed more Mir3 bosses will be introduced in time, DragonLord being top of my list.

Having fought against countless bosses over the past 12 years in many different MMOs I find it difficult to be blown away by what Mir bosses can offer in terms of looks and difficulty but the DragonLordJin'Ryung encounter that I sadly was only able to be a part of once on Mir3 Global still impresses me:

I have been snooping around the client files and noticed the DL skin was in, I'm just hoping you devs can come close to the AI and spell effects that this boss had in Mir3 if you do decide to implement it (which I'm praying you will).

cant say im all that impressed with the encounter, im more for implementing strategic boss ai's than hack n slash/ aoe spam.

It won't be a hack and slash if there aren't op res pills on chronicles like wemade mir3 had.
People would have to avoid dying / get ressurected by taoists making it a more strategic boss.

That applys to any boss, what makes this one so special ? all the crazy aoe spam on screen? iv not tried this boss as im not a big mir3 fan, but from that video it looks very simple in terms of strategy.

I'd be very impressed if a Mir boss can be created that requires any sort of complex strategy to kill. DL was limited to 1 group which made the boss more difficult than most but tactically as you say it required very little. All the crazy AoE spam is 1 of only a small number of options a boss can do to counter the collision detection in Mir and when it's as visually stunning as DL's who cares what it adds to the encounter?

From my experience Mir3 bosses were harder to kill than Mir2 bosses mainly due to the delay on potions. At the right level there's not much you can do to prevent out-potting a boss's DPS on Mir2. Unless you introduce the Paralysis they had on some Mir3 mobs that prevented potting :D

Fair Enough , some of those effects aren't my cuppa tea though like the meteor shower / big dragon thing going across the screen, but thats me.

you also had to kill sub bosses to get the keys to allow entry to KR (bit like dragon scales) but only having a shot to kill a boss once a week is a bit of a heart pound not to screw up.

i like the sound of a rare weekly boss, not a 3hr r/s or whatever.

no offence fagurican but what would you know about coming up for a strategy when killing a boss? you did spend most of your time on mask in safe zone unless in ZT!

and i dont realy think any bosss in mir needs a
strategy to kill it, just abit of sussing if you can wall kill it, can you share the damage or what ever! also given past strategies that me and twisted used on frozen boss im sure it would end up being called a glitch! and even that so called glitch wasnt ****ing explained! how is using one mob to hit twisted and stop the frozen general a ****ing glitch?

also orc war lord takes ZERO
strategy to kill, its just tank and spank that does a big AOE hit every 20 seconds that may make afew people panic and use sun pots when they dont need to!


so dragonlord looking very simple in terms of
strategy would make it fit in with every other ****in boss on the game already! but no lets not add that one cause it dont take any strategy -.-

Didn't even need to exploit a clear attribute error to kill frozen boss, me and nemo 2 manned it just fine. l2p

I would like to see more boss AI's implemented as Mir is pretty much a stale game in this aspect. But I'm sure Samuel will surprise us.
