Hi , this topic is to help those of you experiencing issues with our patcher, and get your client ready for live. :)

Tips
  • Make sure you have the latest patcher - Link found here - www.mirchronicles.com/download/Patcher_V205.rar (May help those experiencing issues with patcher re-downloading client)
  • Installing the patcher - We recommend you to Create a New folder/ Rename it Chronicles in your C:/ Directory, and Place the "ChroniclesPatcher.exe" inside and run the patcher from here to install the client.(Should help those experiencing issues with UnauthorizedAccess Error Message)
  • If you use Anti-virus software, add the "ChroniclesPatcher.exe" to its exceptions list - (If you don't know how to do this, a quick google search of your Software program should provide plenty of guides on this)
  • Running the patcher as Administrator - Right Click "ChroniclesPatcher.exe" and select "Run As Administrator from the drop down menu.
  • Client Keeps Deleting Data - Open your "patcher.ini" File and Change "DELPROMPT=false" to "DELPROMPT=True" and Save (This is only a quick fix and will prompt you each time it wants to delete something, please post your Patchers "Logger" info below)

at Ionic.Zip.ZipFile.ReadIntoInstance(ZipFile zf)
at Ionic.Zip.ZipFile.Read(String fileName, TextWriter statusMessageWriter, Encoding encoding, EventHandler`1 readProgress)

Any idea what the problem is and how to correct it?

Well I get the message when I start to patch, but it does d/l the client all 2000+ files, but press play and it wont go the the server option page it will pop up another box but you just have to quit. I did have it working but had to system restore so even though it's not live I know it can get beyond the point I am stuck on now.

Glad I'm not the only one.

i've hit the run as Admin, i still get the "oops" message but then it downloaded it all. I hit 'play' and then i get this message again.

I'm out at the minute on the ipad, I will post the details when i get home.

If you get a problem/error

Post the screenshot (Unblurry) of the error message along with your operating system and i'll be able to help you fairly easily with the exact downloads you need.

It's all software based on your part as this works fine for a ton of other people.

You can ignore the "Oops" error, as it doesn't effect anything, I get that too and yes I played CB without any issues or missing files.

The last "MirPatcher" error, when dies that occur? Did you clock play?

---------- Post Merged at 10:55 AM ---------- Previous Post was at 10:47 AM ----------

If you're clicking play then that's prob why you get the error. The servers offline until next Friday.

I can confirm this by clicking mine when I get home

This is the error I receive.

I ran as Admin and downloaded the client without message.
When the client is downloaded and I hit Play (obviously we cannot at the minute), I then receive the below error.

Before windows re-install my chronicles client would advance to server selection screen with no errors now once I dismiss the opps error and click play I get the Mir Patcher error and have to quit. Clock Play do you mean over clock? system is at default.

And here is the patcher error message:

ee the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

I would say clicking play is causing the error, rather than anything being installed incorrectly.

I will test it when I get home. Unfortunately if that's not the case, I don't know dick about Mac's lol

---------- Post Merged at 11:07 AM ---------- Previous Post was at 11:06 AM ----------

Either way, I'm sure the exe to run the game is still there, presuming everything has downloaded for you?

So clicking "Play" isn't mandatory to getting in game

I get the first error and haven't bothered trying to d/l the rest of the data as I thought it was pointless if it's not working properly. Am I better off just d/l as many of the files as possible first?

I get that error all of the time. It occurs when you spam click the launcher as it takes a couple of seconds to load up. It ends up loading multiple auto patchers and only one will allow you to launch the game.

Double click it once and wait 5 seconds and you'll be able to hit the Play button.

m9vy.jpg - 2 Clients open. 'Patching'
n4qg.jpg - 1 Client open. 'Play'
e6s.bmp - 3 or more clients open. 'Error Message'

I cannot replicate the Error message you in the e6s.bmp screenshot but I know for a fact that's the issue with the contact an Admin message.

In the screenshots you have provided 2 out of 3 show that you have multiple autopatchers open.

The other seems to be perfectly fine, I assume after clicking Play you get the other error message?
