there is a ton of shell attackers on hack forum for as little as £10 a month that can take down dedi servers easy but usually they come with 1 min limits so im guessing that the attacker owns his own botnet or maybe he's got a better service for a little higher fee but even so all this is irrelevant as he's already proved he can do it for a longer time span

I was thinking the same- but the speed of progress over the weekend might be the issue! Any how i will put my money that the server won't be up and running till next week. The way things are going it looks as though the weekend is a right off unfortunately

I Agree, I believe hosts typically want 24 hours before the servers ready anyway, then there would be updates / general set up and configuration & it's a Sunday so I doubt tomorrow will show any progress from either Samuel or the dedi company... I'm thinking Monday at best - I hope I'm wrong of course, but I can feel peoples frustration - I would appreciate a post saying can't be done this weekend so we can allow ourselves to blink and maybe make some breakfast without fear of missing something.

Well it was up on time....

In fact it was up precisely at 8PM GMT...I was shocked to try the gate at 7:59:58 and have it open 2 seconds later.

They can't help someone found entertainment in bringing it back offline not 10 minutes later can they?

Exactly.. they've done the best they can and everything else that happened is out of there control and only thing they can do is try and find some other company who is better suited for this kind of attack.
