Just put some items in TM and noticed that it costs 10k no matter what the commission? So I put a book in for 8,000 and he took 10,000 from me?

Reading is a valuable skill.
True that, but how are people expected to make money at low level from selling items, such as books when there is a stupid 10k fee. Now that you have nerfed medium armor I'm now spending more on pots yet struggling to cover the cost. P.S I'm a warrior so it's near on impossible to kill anyway, without making things harder.

I agree the trust merchant is completely pointless for lower lvl items, unless you're selling something with a substantial figure that 10k is a huge hit. Don't forget it takes commission at the end as well. I just can't fathom why they can't use similar mechanics of a AH in wow.

it's to stop crap items from going in, I dont wanna see bronze swords etc. I've managed to sell 90% my items through the shouting system. goto mongchong and type !Selling [whatever] and I'm sure some one will buy - unless it's kak no one needs or wants to waste time reading

This is precisely the point... If your selling it for less than 10k then maybe its worth considering just selling it to the shop.

Point is, TM is for valuable items not semi-valuable. If you think you'll lose 10k on your items sell price and making a shitty profit you're better off selling it via shouting.

Why isn't there a minimum consign price of 10,000 then?

Yes, but it's not like you can search the shops for people's semi rares is it? Last time I checked as soon as you sell something, it just vanishes. Be nice if shops retained a memory of users sold goods again.
