Exp is not fine although the secret reason behind it makes sense lol. Sam wants people to take ages getting past the content he puts in so he has time to sort the next bit of content and bugs out.

I'm hoping this is the case, and that Sam can perhaps find a balanced manner to slowly ramp experience to make later game content released more accessible to the mass (AKA not those few who play 10 hours daily) as he releases it.

Common sense would indicate better server success when the server gets geared toward the average working joe with the few hours a night to play, not the lower junkie population who have 3 years on their hands to get to 56 :P

Presently the server content is ahead of most server players accessibility. Finding that balance between exp., content placement, and accessibility is certainly not an easy task, but definitely not one to just be ignored.

TL: DR in my opinion early leveling could actually do for scaling back/slowing down, higher levels need a bump in the faster direction.

if you want people to achieve and use the 50+ content, something has to change.
new caves with big exp seems likely for 45+

Or an idea would be to remove levels required on items. People dont have to level for 2 years at this rate to wear there loot they ernt. Even tho they are 12 levels lower. They killed the level 56 item dropper surly they deserve to wear them.

The EXP is great...

If people choose to level quick then thats fine, after you are satisfied with your level... go and find gear..

If people were high level and had great gear then there could be a problem. But that is not the case

IMO its fine how it is.. The server is still very young.

i guess it could be scaled better. so its the same amount of exp to get to say lvl 56, but your not presented with that brick wall jump of exp required at 44.
but then, is there a rush?

oh and lets not forget you can knock 20% off if your a wallet warrior, which is a fkin lot.

There is alot of solutions to this problem. The main point of this thread is to identify that there is a problem. If the highest level person in the game agrees that the current content, items and skills, will never be reached there is a good chance that this is the case. Now if the highest level person says this you obviously have a large problem for your "average" player base.

The problem
In its current state people will never enjoy the content Sam and the team have already created.
Potential solutions?
-increase exp
-add much higher exp/hour content
-change the level requirements on skills and gear (considering how much work every level is make it so a level 43 skill is level one at 43, 2 at 44 and 3 at level 45 as an example) Every level would have something to look forward too, not just 13 hp and bag weight.
-cap the exp at certain levels, ie. lvl 44-48 is 80 mil per level, 49-54 is 100 mil each etc.
-etc
Any one of these could work or I am sure the team could come up with other solutions as well.

Exp could be scaled a little better so you dont hit a brickwall, but theres
Alrdy lvl 46's ingame and they still seem to be leveling at a good rate... sorry how old is this server again?

If this is going to achally be a long term, indefinite, low rate server, then yes im sure many people would be happy with the way it is.

From what I can tell both Past Bichon oma's and Vipers are not X2 exp. I haven't gone around to find everything else but its a good place to start as many people level off these.
Yellow Viper official 5600, here 9000 - 1.61X exp
Sword Oma official 4400 here 7200 - 1.64X exp
1.6X(exp rate) * 2X(level length)=0.8X (actual exp rate of the server after level 44)

If you want the server to last then leave the exp as it is.
Im not even 40+ due to lack of time to play but i like the exp.... 0-40 isnt a grind tbh ive heard after 43 it gets slower.

You dont want a server where everything is easy, with the drops being changed to drop more frequently (which btw i think is a good idea) then keep the leveling as it is otherwise this will just become another med server that people get bored of.

I could be wrong here, but I think even after 44, this is still faster than Euro was. I remember people moaning about a certain player who did 44-45 in a few weeks on Euro and everyone was sure something weird was going on. 44-45 on here can be done a lot faster than a few weeks. I know that EXP is higher on mobs here and that EXP needed after 44 is supposed to even it out but I think it's still easier at 44+ on here than it was on Euro.

Changed exp rate has to be a big no surly, all the people who have grinded would be so pissed myself included! If anything the amount of exp per level could be changed per level so it doesn't benefit any1, as I said I think the exp is fine and I'm enjoying it lol

44-45 on euro was when exp started to more than double.. I remember grinding for 2/3 months for lvl 3 ff lol

The exp is fine its the crazy jumps in required exp per certain levels that is the problem long term. and as for why after 44 is goes from x2 too x1 is beyond me. it should stay the same from start to finish. But this is Sams server, we all know what we in for so if we dont like it we can always try another server.

You don't need to reach end game content to enjoy the game. I feel the majority of the server wont reach end game content.
in terms of exp and rates, people hardly mention the very fast RS rates which vastly improves leveling rates.

Afaik noone on euro got to end game.. Max was level 53? after like 7/8 years? So lets say this is x3 it should still take 2/3 years to get to that point....

OP did you play euro in 1.4? It was taking people a year to hit level 40. Come 1.9 people were doing it in weeks, why? Because of updates.

Yep. As soon as we got PSC and PT on euro we had fresh lv40 chars in 5 weeks
