I had an idea related to this a few weeks ago
We could make a system where if (as an example) 1 million monsters where killed on the server then there will be 12 hours of 1.25exp
The system would then reset and start all over again
Still need to talk to the team about it

would prefer to see 44+ exp change myself, regular events are good just would rather see other things invasions or small exp events etc
Well i voted no. On all the servers i have played once regular double exp kicks in people leave because they get board. They reach the next level, double exp goes off they cant level with normal exp so stop till next event. Kills the server. Lower the exp needed for the level gaps after 43. Make different events mob town attacks, spawn boss mobs in a random dungeon to find etc.
People that cant play during double events get left behind so they leave cause the target levels they set are further away .
The people that were lured back because of this event in all probablility will leave anyway as the got higher level due to the exp buff now they have even less to do and more exp to get for next level.
As was said earlier people will log on anyway everyone know that mir is a grind game afterall
