Gem success rates

Have these been checked?
Success rate on AceM2 was too high. Think everyone agreed about that. The make gem success rate was the one people complained about.
Looking around here where there havent been many gems in game there are a lot of successfully gemmed items.

That's not true, there have been hundreds of gems ingame since drop changes, nearly every boss drops a gem of some kind, the success rate is quite low from what I've seen.

are you even playing chronicles? have you looked in the TM? GEMS are dropping everywhere

This was done for a reason.
After the next reboot players will be able to craft gems and they will drop less from bosses to balance this out

Success rate seems high. It was high on acem2. I wondered if it is supposed to be so easy to gem things.
Once people can make them there will be 2 or 3 of each type in TM all the time.

And what if people prefer the way they are dropping now and would rather not lowered just because they are craftable? :O

The success rate was lowered from ace, as there was way to many +3-7 stated items, coupled with 2-3 sockets, it just didn't work for a low rate.

sounds like its been changed since.

we are forgetting it was the formula for success that was wrong. the chance for success never got worse when an item got more stats. +1 +2 +£ where all the same chance to work.

imo should be 80% chance to work on first 60, 40, 20. with the fail chance being the opposite and then after it fails it rolls 1 or 2 to deicide if it breaks.

And what's wrong with an 80% success rate on any attempt? That's a 3/4 success rate overall. Chance of breaking it going for 2 is 24% and chance of breaking it going for 3 is 25% overall

Everyone said items would be breaking once gems and refining arrived. Is there much breaking happening? Doesnt look like. So I asked if it had been checked. It might be the way its supposed to be.
Lots posts asking for crafting gems and refining to be in game. So players can make money afk mining and selling ore or afk mining and making gems. M

1.) You're biased because people will obviously parade around their 3-9 TaoFan, but you won't see people buying global shout scrolls to announce they broke their first Jmace going from 1 to 2 and their 2nd going from 2 to 3.

2.) Why is this "not in line with a low rate server"? Who decided that? Sounds like it's your personal opinion, which is fine, but in no way reflects everybody else's and doesn't need to be the norm. I think if BH and Sam didn't want items with a lot of added stats they wouldn't have had slotted items ingame (or, say, only max 2 slots).

Probably used more gems than anyone else, snapped a lot of items but also made a fair few +3 items thus making the best kit in game at the time. You just need to keep trying, its all RNG.

Yesterday i broke my WSB trying for a speed + 1.. Then had 18 gems work in a row after.
