its ruining all servers that are going up atm, can some1 who knows what they are doing prevent it? skepta and rest of Wade ruin every server tht goes online :S
anyway to stop this DLL going around allowing speed cheats on heroes?

It's sad to see people needing to cheat on a game that's been out 12+ years, next to no-one is interested in heroes now.
Quite surprised it hasn't been put in the section along with the other files to collect dust.

Well hopefully when the C# files are up to Korean Mir standard, then we will finally see how bad the players are who use cheats

an active gm can just ban all cheaters, but its a huge pain in the arse sitting up all hours of the night...

your one of the main **** wits that's the problem.... if you really want to cheat go put ur own server up for you and ur little gang to play on. not one server admin wants you around. any new servers would be silly not to ban u lot from the start

I admit I used a cheat once back when I was 14/15 but it ruins the fun, just curious why you/others feel the need to cheat, is it a case of not being able to play Mir properly? or just a case of wanting to be such a douche?

They use speed cheats, speeding up the game client. Their movement + attackspeed and even magic speeds can be altered :S They also have run through.
They're just upping the clock of the game with an altered CE Dll and injecting another one to bypass the speedcheck same can still be done to chronicles if you can write them yourselves imho
You're better off not using heroes altogether

Knew he was using something as soon as he started gloating about pking me and when i was getting hit off the screen, never done it before without cheats..

I think that's a poor attitude towards running a server. "If its broken just leave it broken and use something else". We should be striving to fix issues not ignore them, especially heroes files, a source that's still very active.
I also think anyone using these types of cheats should just be outright banned from lomcn. Is it really something we want to encourage that's ok? And does anyone actually want these people playing on any of our servers?

Same can be done to any client/server game... (Including C#), We managed to detect it on Chronicles which is most likely why they have branched out to other servers.
I don't mind applying some potential detection work to closed sources, I don't particularly want to apply this to the open source project at the moment, mainly because its open source and I don't want those who would look for work arounds knowing what we have applied to Chronicles.
