Just have a few questions about If and when this is implemented, so..

- Will you have to be the required level before you can start crafting these books?

- Are each crafted spell class specific? for example a warrior couldnt craft flamefield?

- Once crafted would this give you the BOOK or just assign the spell to your character? If its a crafted book will these be non tradeable? (obviously normal books that dropped would be tradeable)

Hoping it will be non tradeable meaning there would be no point in a warrior crafting FF.

Having the required level to make the book would be the best idea because people would level just to know they can get that spell.

People will level anyway.
The crafting idea still might not happen I hope. Sam was only just going to start work on it so I bet he doesn't even know the answers to those questions yet. Even if he did I don't want him to tell you.
Cant you just wait a little while for the new drops to have been happening for more than a couple of weeks?

There will be no level restriction on crafting the book, but the usual use level still applies.

They will be non tradable, so a warrior could craft yes, but it would be stuck on his character until he deleted.

How will the items be distributed if you're in a group hunt? Are they sent straight into your bag like a quest item.

Also I'm assuming each book will require the same items? So you build books one by one you're not collecting (for example) 3 separate skill resources at once

Hoping these books will take a minimum of 4 weeks graft to make.. Or its another element from the drop system which would be made redundant

Agree with this, should be much less common than the books that drop, taking into account 100 or so people will be committed to making them. A reward for a long time of hard graft.

Also, obviously once a player has all his skills, will the items have an endgame use? For example each resource gives you a free special repair or something useful.

Should also make it a quest line, rather than just a simple craft item.

This will make it a bit longer.

EVERY single post u make makes u sound like a little bitch.....

its not about me being impatient to wait for the content. its about asking the questions that need answering. We know very little about it, so some sorta insight into sams intentions would be beneficial to everyone, not just myself.

Cause you didn't sound bitchy at all just now. He has a valid point. Why badger Sam/BH about a system that's not even live yet? You're complaining and don't even know why. Maybe the system will be implemented exactly how you hope and dream it will be, making this thread pointless (except to show that, surprise, everyone wants different things and not everyone will get their way).

This is like asking the MetOffice what the weather will be like in East London 58 days from now.

So you're gonna fix the bug where others can buy "soulbound" items sold to shops first or..?

Why not 1week why not 2 weeks - why not years ? Its only a additional to the drop system... Ppl will still need to level to use them And this can take longer then the 4 weeks of grinding. For the majority 28 Days + 2 Hours per day... can take a long run to use it even if they has the spell to get requirment level.

Why no level restriction to craft?
Wont all the players who have been getting really really distressed and frothing at the mouth be upset when all these noobs just waltz onto the server and get all their skills straightaway?
I prefer the idea of a quest rather than crafting but perhaps the two can be combined.
I would suggest that you cant start the quest until you reach the level for the book and you cant make the book til next level. You get to wait for it to drop anyway like everyone else had to but not as long and if it does drop you can sell the items you collected for the crafting part.

I personally think this is how it should be.

Quest starts at certain level.
Follow the quest chain.
Once complete you get access to the crafting section.

Why level restrict them should be the real question... What is the difference between doing all the crafting as a noob then leveling and doing the leveling and then the crafting?

lol, none? The book still remains the same level to use.

I have a feeling that you won't be getting any of the high level skills "straight away".
