Go for an R9 280 or R9 280X if you're gonna spend a wee bit on it, more bang for buck on the radeon cards

I had an amd gpu. Seeing as I'm into my computers now I want to try a different brand.

i had ordered the gtx770 before I got a reply lol I want it ASAP so it's coming Monday sometime.

Just curious how my 2600k will perform lol. I may have to let the missus have the weekend on the computer.

It'll play it, but you'll notice a difference when you get the gtx.

I personally prefer Nvidia over Radeon, but it is all down to personal preference.

Nvidia!!!!!!! seriously amd is worse after years of using both brands i'd conclude Nvidia>amd

Radeon lets you go a step above for the same price though, stick to your guns if you want lol. I'm runnin an r9 290x and I can't fault it, My other pc has a 660gtx in it, can't fault it but these R9's are a different breed. The 770 will be a great card btw.

If you don't have the money radeon is fine but the quality in terms of drivers and technology (SLI vs Crossfire) you'll be able to understand why nvidia gpu's cost a little more on average it's the same story with intel vs amd processors

It's weird I get 60fps on my onboard intel HD 4000 graphic but only 45fps when switched to nvidia 710M playing on laptop

this client is not optimised, shows weirdness in results all over, no surprise in your resuts tbh.

If your using the onboard graphics on laptop which is what most intel hd ones are, there is a facebook group called intelli modder and they have modded drivers to help you boost your gfx performance i was using it before i got my new pc and it took me to 45 fps from 30fps

Jeeze you make me feel like a cheapskate! Not many people go crossfire, I paid £369 for the graphics and the only nvidia that I would have went for to better this card was the 780ti@ £470 for not much difference, and will make absolutely no difference considering the games I play lol. Check the benchmarks- the scores couldn't justify the £100 price difference mate. Mir on a i7 4790k @ 4.7ghz with a 24" 144hz monitor :S :S

ps if a 290x and the 780ti were the same price, I'd definitely go for the nvidia.

Radeon has big time driver issues... The maxwell gpu is coming out in a couple of months if you can hold out.

Well I've ordered my gpu will arrive sometime Monday.

I am am not using a laptop and tbh the gpu from i7 2600 is fine.

maxwell gpus are already out in the 750s but the are just starter models. And I need it now anyway. The 20nm won't be out until the new year.

lol i would be content with the intel on board gpu if this was the only game i planned to play on.

as i have said ive tried amd so now im trying nvidia.

i have my gpu now and its installed so im ready to play with it :)

btw intel gpu's are not OTT for anything. they are bog standard peices of crap compared to nvidia and amd gpus was the last 2-4 years.
