Comfortable? OKS now is hardly comfortable when you have a good fight in there lol.

On euro it became silly fighting there, and was a case of the team with the most ff wins. They were fun fights but it's much better now having to work for the kill. To run to oks room now, luring or killing off the doors, then to clear out the opposing guild and then kill oks before people reappear is much more fun.

I didn't mention Dragon Alliance MoD House of Keylah FoH and the rest either. I was talking only about the fights at OKS.
The Q system for OKS was the idea of Da Wolf from Murder Inc was it not? Q for bosses happened in a few maps. The Q system for OKS kept going for ages after DaWolf and MurderInc left until it stopped when I reckon Rev was dominatin the server and TT getting stronger.
I cannot comment on all the other bosses except to say that quite a few guilds would not "steal" from someone who they found already killing a boss unless it was TT. ZT was a regular hunt for the guild I was indont remember many fights except with TT now and then. Other bosses rarely resulted in fights.
Yes Koopa(MoD) and the allnight crew may have formed an elite bossing group which I wouldn't know about because I wasn't there. Who were you fighting?

LMAO DaWolf in MurderInc? I'd say Rathman and Raman, phasor JLC et al would be rolling in their graves on that, not to mention the majority of DeathRow guild.. still you made my point. The queuing stopped maybe 2005 early, but in reality it had already stopped at wt etc, remember lust69 and gobby in the wtkr? You also had the gorillaz who were a pk crew who were around for a year or so. Main guys were TT (or RevengeEaster or TGW), they ALWAYS attacked, and usually got cained, Brockensword, cooljedragon, redscarecrow ANDYCHEN etc.. You also had the roms as well, then add into the mix FOH, KOTRT, DA, and there were literally loads of fairly decent level folks fighting for most bosses, hell I still remember the tear ups on B7 when it first became known.. some of the fights that I have had on that map were insane.. still I digress, most important to having great fights is usercount..

Ok. Lets agree that the Q system at OKS existed(Forgot Rathman n them tho Phasor was a mirmate) I don't know how it got started. I reckon it was an agreed thing that a few of the bigger guilds with famous names agreed between them. People used to talk to each other more then and make cross guild hunt groups. After graveturners all left it was Dawolf got the blame for the Q system. Why did him n his guild all leave anyway?
Yes fights always in other places. Trooperrr in WT with telering. Had fights in BDD too and the first slave cave but for the 3 hr bosses some guilds wouldn't fight you if you were already killin when they got there unless it was TT TGW RE. (lol just remembered Rice Police)

Lets agree that its numbers that make for the epic fights people are remembering. Euro had many more times the user count. Tho pieface is right about it getting silly. I reckon there were epic fights at OKS some times but nothing like as often as ppl want to remember.

Though if people want to have regular fights at set times why not spawn OKS in the old place once a week at peak time as an event?
Call it nostalgia month event and spawn OKS twice a week say Mon and Thur first week. Tue and Fri next wed and Sat and every evening on the last week. Best be careful with the drops tho. Maybe a token and the guild with the most tokens gets to choose a reward and have purple names for a month.

Would that be Wayne you thinkin of leadin Apex? There's other names too GodFather(original Mafia not Ben's The_Mafia) Secrets, Alchemist, actually really hundreds who was the famous cyberer F wiz? TheGreatGrrr. Naked hunts. The race from WT to MW. Much more fun than these buy your way though the game that mir has become.

But the idea of a nostalgia event is a nice one.

As the server is getting less of a user count I thought as an event (perhaps forever) if it works omakingspirit was to spwan in its original place. Reasons for this...
1.it makes better guild wars
2. It will encourage old players to return for this epic old skool PvP.
3.why would you put it in bed in first place... :)

Hopefully this happens.
agreed

disagree
They already fight for bosses at OKS OK Collosus Frozen why should they have another boss to fight over?
There's only 3 guilds that would go out of the 7 or 8 guilds I have counted. Though having them kept busy would be nice.
It wont encourage any of those old skool players to come back because they wont have the kits the skills the numbers or the recall sets.
It wasnt supposed to be in game and having a boss in a noob cave was ridiculous. Cave fights in KRs with mobs are the real fights in mir.

Yes but when various users use... Bag weight cheats and walk through cheats it becomes a pointless fight, unless of course i need to visit specsavers.

FOH, KOTRT MOD,

Man those names take me back. Don't forget TheDarkMessiahs. TheBigLongy was a ****ing legend, one of the first people to have a Dslayer. First guild I ever joined, he accepted me in at level 12 and helped me all the time. So sad when he quit, guild kinda just drifted off.

I remember being accepted into the "council" in FriendsofHonor and was a giddy school kid, this was back when we held SW consistently. Then when FoH fell apart, Manofwisdom and his crew ended up making KOTRT and had some ridiculous fights. I also remember being in MoD long before NoobTM died in that tragic bike accident - guild was never the same after that.

I remember far too much from Euro, but I agree with most of what you've said. A lot of people seem to remember only the part of Euro Mir they played (a year or so here and there) and nothing else and treat that as "euro", where as those who had played since beta all the way through to its death are more likely to understand what went down.

So many massive guilds/fights/rivalries went down over the course of Euro, people seem to just remember the final ones near the end of Euro more often. Only natural since it was so long ago.

The game really did get so much worse after 2007 though. The exploits/cheats kinda just killed the game, let alone the fact the GM's essentially gave up with the game.

OKS on Euro were some of the most insane fights I've ever been in, especially once the whole "queueing for bosses" nonsense was removed by the guilds strong enough to completely take over the cave. It wouldn't have mattered where OKS was tbh. It's the community brawls that made it so good.

I don't think changing its place back to the original cave will matter too much, but it might help bring in a few fights as the cave is so easy to get to. Honestly it's the usercount that dictates what makes a boss fight fun or not.

This is what I was trying to say. You said it better.
I played all the way through, even logging on sometimes in the last awful year.
I still reckon fun fights at OKS only happened for a small time euro mir because after Queuing stopped there was always one dominant guild. People would turn up at OKS to see how many of the rivals were there.

Boring thing is that its mostly the same people waving willy on every mir game even now all these years later. Same methods to get ahead too.
Agree putting OKS back wouldn't really do much because its the user count and everyone having skills n kit that makes the fun
