Dunedain have been accused of "swiping" the drop from Bichon Lord, Blades of Magi...
this allegation is completely unfounded and totally wrong....
we were the first guild to find the Bichon Lord, started a group, and waited for others to arrive,...
we invited members of other guilds to the group, a 2nd group was also started....
after much falling over by many the Bichon Lord was the one to fall over, with a gem, Agility I think? and Blades of Magi dropping... an Orgasmic member lifted the gem, a Dunedain member lifted the BoM
this was not stealing or "swiping", someone had to lift the blades...
it was suggested by some to roll for the blades, while others, including myself, thought selling the blades and splitting the gold either between all those in the groups or between the 3 main guilds involved in killing the Lord
it was finally agreed by ALL those present, that the blades be sold and the gold split between the leaders of the 3 guilds..... those leaders would then decide on what to do with that guild's share (as said at the time, my own intent would be to split Dunedain's share between our members that were in the group, with possibly part of it going to guild fund)
Dunedain are not claiming the Blades as our property, we are selling them with the intention of sharing the gold between the guilds mainly responsible for killing the Bichon Lord, I believe this is the fairest way that all involved in killing the Bichon Lord are rewarded for their efforts
everyone is entitled to their own opinion on what the best way of dealing with a valuable drop is .... for the Blades to go to1 player, or 1 guild, when there were 3 guilds , and many players involved, I would have thought fairest is to share the prize
so basically... no, we did not "swipe" or steal any item from the drop, and while we will be sharing any gold from the sale of the BoM, there has been no mention of the outcome of the gem dropped and lifted
