Was bored mining and thought.. Why can i not trade this shitty Ore instead of dropping it....

So my idea is in BW Mines/Mineral Mines to have a trader on each floor ( at least first/second ) where you can trade crap ores for Repair Oils, and Torches..

the amount of time i forget a torch or run out of everything, and it saves everyone dropping all the **** ore on the floor?

Simple to add, yet effective.

:)

Could always add a crafter that can craft stuff from ores

BH

That is an amazing idea! being able to craft things like repairoils or bonehammers or Various torches would help a shed load. I once saw a crafting npc that allowed miners to 'smelt' their ores to create consumables.. the smelting process also had a small chance of finding a gem within the ores used.

Would make mining less of a mindless activity :)

thing is it has to be in the mines.. or it wont get used.. i personally drop all shitty ore, but if i ran out of torches/repair oils, I'd run to the NPC with my ores an try get some more bits so keep me going longer...

should make it take certain things e.g for torches Amethyst Ore, its cheaper then Ruby Ore, as such is Torchs cheaper then Repair Oils, make it so it takes like 5 or something, over priced for the convenience, and the same for Repair Oils taking Ruby Ore, Repair Oils are 800, 5 Ruby Ores are around 4000

Why not sell it to the shop?

Full bag of crap ore takes no time at all... going to and from the shop to sell is pointless for the reward.. hence why it is just thrown on the floor... but dont worry, forget martyn even asked for something to be implemented to possibly improve the task of mining so that we can use these pointless ores for something of use?..

Because hey!.. here you are again with a clever little post that just solves everything!!

Right????

Bit of an overreaction to a simple question? Please calm down :upset:

Honestly I like this idea. The amount of times I've ran out of or just plain forgotten to grab a torch/repair oils whilst mining is infuriating. Having an npc in the mines to trade the crappy ores for these would be good. To solve the botting issue could just throw a maths question on it also.

As mentioned, it would need to be in the mines for it to be used.

Doesn't take long to TT, go to the weapon shop, set up a macro to sell all the ores in bag, mount up and auto run back to the mines. No effort there.

People drop it on the floor as they want to maximise their bag space with higher value ores, where as if you sold everything you'd make more money.

exactly, so why not make a use for it.. i will probably still drop **** on the floor, but if i run out of Repair Oils/Torches and i haven't got any Plat or enough BIO, I'm going to want to keep mining, this means i can keep the **** ore and go trade it for things which will help with that.

as the category on this forums, its a suggestion..
