Hello all,

Been gone for a while, any of the new skills mentioned on path to hell in game and dropping? I think magic booster was there when I left but none of the other ones.

Additionally they were talking about skill crafting that make it in?

cheers,

Shadow step that has been in game since Easter apears to be 70 mil still? Or is this just an exception?

There will still be demand by people for stuff, it's probably being bid @ real life cash buyers.

There is still a lot of skills being dropped, though keeping the rarest, rare.

Instead of the patht o hell skills they introduced a couple at a time (none have dropped yet) so may not even be in the drop files.

Sin has - BackStab - short distance tele attack with flinch DoT
Archer - LayTrap - place trap on floor, ice or fire.
Wiz - Lightningstorm of some sorts - castst 4-5 Tbolts at anything withing a AoE
Tao - HealField - Healing Aura around the tao.

nothing for war as far as I remember but as i said none of these drops.

No skill crafting as yet, and I disagree with pie, book rates are still far to rare.
as far as I remember Team have had 1 Shadow Step book in the last 4 months. It is hit and miss of course because We have found a good few rage, flamefield, profield and so on.

But none of the books I need lol.
so from my perspective they are still too rare, but on the general book dropping rate i guess it is actually ok, just never suits me =(

Oh I See. Guessing the other comparable skills are also rare? Curse, Rage, piecing shot etc.
Also any answer to the first part of the OP?

3 have dropped. Plus many for other guilds too.

Rare skills should be rare.

Rage is quite common now, Curse - quite a few taos have it (it's a massive game changer, so shouldnt be too common).

I've not seen any of the new skills ingame yet

Oh i only heard of the 1 in the last 4 months, thought the other sins all had it pre 4months ago.

I think the crafting is needed personally as i don't think skills should be rare. i'm 5 levels higher than one of the skills i need, its just not fun.

TE and TB both had it before then, and were 2 of the first 3 ShS ingame.

Ok so basically no skill crafting system, rare skills are still rare and people are vastly out leveling the skills with none of the other skills have been added to game? and if they are in game they have not dropped in the 2 months I have been off? Any GM input on whats going on with these?

Skills are by far the most exciting thing to get in Mir and its always something I am hoping for when I come back to Mir. New skills and being able to get old ones that would have been rare before but should theoretically become more common?

New skills are super fun, bring new dynamics and options for gameplay!

Some of the new skills are still in final stages of testing and sone are in drops.

This is a long term server, rare items and skills need to be rare or they would not be called rare skills 😛

Skills are dropping and IMO are dropping at a nice rate, the joys of the one drop system means that it still has random and this includes spells

Skill crafting was delayed as skills where and are dropping

I think skills should be alot more readily available like most other mmorpgs where you get them as you reach the appropriate level im only missing two skills on all my characters i actually need it ill be another skill short when i finally decide to get my last 10% on my warrior but there alot of people worse off than me

Moonlight, MPEater, PoisonSword, Trap, CrossHalfMoon, Blade Avalange, MagicShield, Turn Undead, were all called "rare skills" at one point,
There is a general progression and once again I find that skills are not keeping up with the progression.
The average level of the active user is probably 44-47 now - that's 4-7 levels higher than some of the "rare" skills.
Time for the new skills to come and an influx of the old ones or have the new ones attainable but not to low/hi a level.
People do leave when they have nothing to level for. skills give people something to level for.

I do agree with you, some skills should be more common (lionroar for example) and I do have plans to look into it
Regardless of level some skills still need to remain rare

As stated some of the new spells are in final stages of testing and will be added to drops soon as will a number of other spells that are listed in the path to hell thread

Might be higher level than the level 0 stage of the skill, but a lot of people are still far off reaching level 3 on all skills.

This is why BH should have made Backstab for sins a higher skill, and not succumbed to people crying for it to be a low level skill. This way, people DO have something to level for, and can't moan that their skills are too low for them.

I do agree with this.
I however have all my skills max leveld because i do not have SF, SS or DB
If i had SS id push for 48 to get it to lvl 3.
BackStab should be 47. 50 and 52 imo. that would keep me going.

I've got 1 goal left at the moment and its not skill based its competitive, once its done I have no idea how long ill stay interested.
I'm hoping long but who knows.
Every other time ive got a little bored ive leveld an alt but i now have 3 lvl 40 (wiz, archer, tao) a lvl 45(sin) of my own work and a level 45(war) given to me.

so skills is pretty much all thats left for me top chase.
Hope they become more common soon.

Do you not think that when you have all your skills, you'll still just get very bored and decide to quit?

They will but do not expect them to become to common

BH

Not common, but id like to have my level 40 skill before i'm level 50.
Don't forget about people that cannot attend every guild hunt, that cannot pay for exp pots all day every day.
Things like Posion Cloud dropping from toxic ghouls is great, so very rare but achievable.
SF and SS seem to be top end bosses only, I know my guild will look after me but as i'm not a boss hunter all day every day there are people that do contribute more on guild hunts and naturally fall in line before me. I would like the opportunity to gain these spells myself.

nope, ill want to level them to level 3, I have an issue with seeing skills in my bar that are not complete.

I'll make sure you get ShadowStep then to keep you around to level 49 ;)
