I think it would be super fun and push everyone to compete to try stuff if you made first time kill on a boss on the server drop X20 or something, it would push everyone onto new content. In the back of everyone head they know that they will die alot and potentially get 1 bene for a new boss, whereas if we knew it would be huge we could all push for it.

If it was X10-X20 or something its a drop in the bucket compared to the life time drops of the boss, but it gives some incentive to kill.

Perhaps a different reward? Like 3 WoodenChests(L) which give 500-10000 GG, something that isn't game breaking.

X10 would not even be 1 day worth of RME drops hardly game breaking. The point isn't the exact amount, its the incentive that would cause guilds to go after things.

I think personal rewards to the group who killed it would be good. 3 bene's each, WoodenChest(L) (500GG) some other little trinket items perhaps.

I agree there's not enough incentive to try new content. I've seen nobody at hell in the past 2 weeks even try the boss. Maybe Mir's getting lazier?

Lazier in terms of effort vs. reward. Hell cave brings back memories of the style of guild hunt that took 2 hours to get to the boss, you never knew you'd get it and it was intense. But you had to do it to get the best drops.

No one's going to regularly visit hell if they can find and kill most big droppers within 30 minutes. I think recent input from staff such as increasing fox difficulty is a big step in the right direction.

Id gladly do 2 hour long guild hunts, but u cant maintain without magicboosters (pots that gave alot of mp/hp for only 1 weight per pot, but quite expensive) or holy pots being in shop, u run out of pots really quickly in the higher lvl dungeons, especially hellcave

I agree - we need to get it back to the point where in order to kill the big bosses and get the big drops, you actually have to hunt/work in order to get them, not just rt a few empty floors and 2 man greed it.....

would be fairly easy to implement this, and it is a great incentive to drive players to get first kills (originally there was going to be achievements in place for boss kills and "World Firsts" which would award players with points they could spend, but it just never got finished)

An increased drop rate for first kill would be good too.

So they go once and get a better drop than usual and then never return for aforementioned reasons

Grand Scheme - 1

Killing a boss for the first time, gives players better insight how to kill the boss next time, its basically getting passed that first kill that is holding players back from going there more often.

Once its been killed it will be killed more often.

Why would you never go back? If you managed to kill it you know how it works and how to do it again, if the drop was good you now know at least in part what it can drop and would go back, does this not make sense?

Drives competition for the server first kill, pushes groups and guilds to new content. If it dropped X10 the first time it would push people to get it killed, and it wouldn't unbalance the server, it would merely be 1 or 2 days worth of drops at once.

Maybe a unique mount would be good for the whole group(s) that kill a certain boss?
