I'm stuck then bud. could be a requirement failure? whats your comp specs? (chronicles is more demanding than most but the login screen I thought would be the same)

BH can you send him the 2.0.4 patcher perhaps using the 2.0.5test patcher is trying to access the wrong client?

Ill send you it when i finish work if you have not had it since. would be my last thought.

Don't really know stuff like this aha but it says on the desktop ... Acer aspire x3200 CPU 8550 3gbmemory.... 320g hdd super multi plus drive.... Nvidia GeForce 8200 graphics .... Windows vista 64bit ... Hdmi support ... If that's any good :S lol

Upgrade to at least Windows 7 and a lot of your problems will disappear

I delted everything and started fresh and used the link for the latest patcher which previously didn't work but now is working fine may be able to play yet lol

There was an update made to the patch program which seems to have hopefully fixed a number of issues

Same problem ... There's nothing more I can do it's forcing me to shut down the PC everytime now stuck on the black screen and nothing else ... Well cheers for the help anyway but had enough now aha cya peeps

guna give it one more shot everything is downloaded im running widows vista sp2...all drivers are up to date and using net frame work 4.5 when i click the exe or the play button on the pacther i get nothing no error messages just nthing the game wont even start... is there anything anyone can think of at all willl appreciate any more ideasthanks in advance

Has your virus scanner deleted the mir.exe?
Some of them do it, it's a false positive

no i disabled the virus scanner and allowed it through the firewall bud i cant even get the the login gate :/

If after sam has had a look we still dont know the problem I can send you a mir2exe with more detailed debugging built onto it and see if it reports anything.

Sent you a PM ... I have never tried the client with Vista, but compatibility mode should work.

Sorry abit late to the thread, from past experience on getting the black screen when opening games - they are caused by firewall blocking .. As it's trying to gain access but it gets stuck between loading the game and asking you for permissions (cannot alt+enter only a PC restart works) .. glad you've sorted anyway (Y)
